An instant win of a Cadbury Chocolate block. The family will enjoy, can't eat it myself as it contains milk!

Thanks to Kelly1 for the post... $100 cheque from Lily Everyday, sadly tainted by an outburst of discontent from others who claim that my entry, amongst others, was more than 25 words.

I have always believed that hyphenated words counted as one word - and the judges presumably agreed. Any thoughts from ACCers?

JBMarigold, according to the wordcounttool website hyphenated words do count as one word so I totally agree with you and the judges.
Sorry to hear sore losers have spoiled your win but congrats anyway!

Congrats JBMarigold on your win!

My comment is related to how I would word count my own entry - I would be thinking that a word like "no-one" is one word, but two words hyphenated that don't normally go together, I would count as two words. But that's just my word counting. And I can only think that's what "losers" are carrying on about.

As for your entry, I would (if I were you), not have a second thought, because your word counting fits in with the judge's word counting, and you were a winner!
