First off the rank this week: Oral B Triumph 5000 toothbrush kit. Uncertain where from. Worth around $200. Congratulations to all ACC winners this week. Best of luck to Winners in Waiting. Thank you to all ACC members who post competitions, answers, and hyperlinks to keep this site going.

I had an awesome start to the week I won $5000 in cash thanks to Turtle Wax and Gold 104.3. That will certainly put a big dent in the bills.
Good luck everyone, the next big win is just around the corner.

Thanks to Kelly1 for the post... $100 cheque from Lily Everyday, sadly tainted by an outburst of discontent from others who claim that my entry, amongst others, was more than 25 words.
I have always believed that hyphenated words counted as one word - and the judges presumably agreed. Any thoughts from ACCers?

JBMarigold, according to the wordcounttool website hyphenated words do count as one word so I totally agree with you and the judges. Sorry to hear sore losers have spoiled your win but congrats anyway!

Congrats JBMarigold on your win! My comment is related to how I would word count my own entry - I would be thinking that a word like "no-one" is one word, but two words hyphenated that don't normally go together, I would count as two words. But that's just my word counting. And I can only think that's what "losers" are carrying on about. As for your entry, I would (if I were you), not have a second thought, because your word counting fits in with the judge's word counting, and you were a winner!

Surprise parcel from Priceline, Dr Lewinns face pack. JB Lily have cancelled the main winner for plagarism, so you are stil in with a chance at the main prize (I think) good luck, and ignore people who don't know how to count!

Hi Cheryl, Thanks for the support. Another runner-up has moved up into first place and they are awarding two new runners-up... One new R/U and presumably one to cover the person who's entry was 30-something words. They have assured me mine was legitimate.

This I find very interesting, did they give any details about the plagarism and how they found out it was copied??

Wow, getting dobbed in that's intense. There must be people out there who keep a real close eye on entries for the purposes of dobbing.

It is cheating and I suppose people do get away with it if winning entries aren't published. I wouldnt bother checking a persons entry.... Most terms do say your entry needs to be unique, I would never copy , I'd hate to lose a large prize after being caught out so publicly.

A suggestion for those who entered the 'Together Counts' pledge where you had to write a healthy pledge to win 1/100 $100 Woollies giftcards, it may be worthwhile checking your junk mail AGAIN. My parents and I were both notified of our wins almost two weeks ago (emails both in junk), but my brother just discovered a WEM for this same comp which only came this Wednesday (also in his junk). I suspect maybe they have had a second chance draw as perhaps some winners never saw (and replied as required) to the original WEMs.
