The Hot Hits - Meet Katy Perry in LA promotion
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of the terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry. All entries are via email
www.thehothits.com. Incomplete or incomprehensible entries will be deemed ineligible. This is a Game of Skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners.
2. To enter the competition, users will be required to log onto the website, and click through to the "Meet Katy Perry in LA' tile and tell us "what would you ask Katy Perry and why?" All answers are required in English. The user will also be asked to register their details for an entry into the competition. Entrants will be required to leave their details including name, date of birth, address, phone number and e-mail address.
3. Entry for the major prize is open to all Australian residents 10 years and over Entrants must have a valid passport with six months validity and be prepared to travel to the US at a date specified by the promoter. Employees of mcm entertainment and their immediate families, associated agencies of mcm entertainment and companies associated with the promotion are not eligible to enter the promotion.
4. The competition commences on Friday 27th August 2010 at 12:00pm (AEST) and all entries must be received before Friday 10th September 2010 at 12:00pm (AEST).
5. All responses will be read and judged by a judging panel at mcm entertainment, Level 1, Building 210, the entertainment quarter, Moore Park, NSW 2021 Friday 10th September 2010 at 2.00pm (AEST). The winners will be notified by email within 2 working days of the relevant judging date. Winners will be determined on their creativity.
6. Major prize: 1 x major prize winner will win 2 x economy airfares from their nearest capital city to Los Angeles, CA, 4 x nights 3.5 star accommodation, airport/hotel transfers, an opportunity to visit the Hot Hits Live From LA radio studio attend a Katy Perry interview and ask Katy Perry an interview question
7. The prize must be taken on dates specified by the promoter and must be taken as offered. Additional spending money, meals, insurance, taxes, passports, visas, travel to and from departure point, and all other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner. Unless expressly stated all other expenses become the responsibility of the winner. The major prize is valued at a maximum of $10,00.00
The total maximum prize pool is valued at up to a retail value of A$10,000.00 (inclusive of GST).
8. In the event that for any reason whatsoever any prize winner does not or is not able to take any prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter for any reason, the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of the prize.
9. In the event that a component (outside the control of the Promoter) is cancelled (i.e. the Katy Perry interview), no replacement activity will be offered
10. If the major prize winner and travelling companion are, for whatever reason, unable to travel on a nominated date, or do not take an element of the prize within the time stipulated by the Promoter then the prize will be forfeited by the winner. Cash will not be awarded in lieu of the major prize or any element thereof.
11. The major prize winner (and their travelling companion) are responsible for all other expenses including additional spending money, meals (unless specified), drinks, transfers (unless specified), laundry charges, activities (unless specified), incidentals, taxes (including departure taxes), energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs. Additional travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
12. The major prize winner and their travelling companion must travel at the same time, must depart from the same capital city and are responsible for transport from their residence to their nearest capital city for flight departure (Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth or Alice Springs).
13. Government taxes are an additional cost to the winners and their travelling companions and are required prior to ticketing.
14. Air tickets are available on the regular scheduled services of each airline and are subject to seasonal embargos. Flight itinerary may have to be adjusted depending on the airlines departure city and their current flight schedule. Frequent Flyer points are not available from any airline.
15. A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the winner at check-in to the hotel, for all incidental charges. Once accommodation vouchers are issued they are non-changeable.
16. If a winner is under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must accompany them to the event.
17. Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prizes are not exchangeable or transferable and prizes cannot be redeemed for cash.
18. Prize values are the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are correct at time of printing. The promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value.
19. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any other prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
20. mcm entertainment and their associated agencies, and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit. Once prizes have left Promoter's premises, the Promoter will not be responsible for any delay in delivery, or failure of safe delivery of prizes.
21. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner and their guests may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the promoter in its absolute discretion.
22. The promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address, and/or proof of entry validity. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit their prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
23. All winning entries become the property of the promoter. All winning entries will be entered into a database and the Promoter may potentially use the entrants' names, addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice and without any fee being paid unless otherwise advised by the entrant.
24. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition
25. In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders it's determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the event and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
