1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of the terms and conditions.
 
2. Entry is open to all residents of Australia aged 18 years or over, or if aged under 18 years you require parent/guardian permission
 
3. Employees of APN and their respective advertising agencies, newsagents and subagents and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
 
4. Competition commences Saturday, November 13th, 2010 and closes 10am (AEST) on Wednesday 15th December, 2010 (promotional period). The competition will be running as a separate individual competition in the following publications: Daily Mercury, The Morning Bulletin, The Observer, News-Mail, Fraser Coast Chronicle, The Gympie Times, Sunshine Coast Daily, The QT, The Chronicle, Warwick Daily News, Tweed Daily News, The Northern Star, The Daily Examiner, and The Coffs Coast Advocate. There are 700 prizes in total to be won inclusive of all participating publications listed above. The same or similar prizes may be awarded by other participating newspapers. The prize value is inclusive of GST and the Promoter takes no responsibility for any variation in item values. Any taxes which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of that winner.  Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash. If the specified prize becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter may substitute a prize of similar nature and like or greater value.

5.  Winners for the 50 prizes available to be won in each of the publications listed in #4 will be published Friday December 17 in the participating newspapers listed in #4. The winners of the 10 Kaiser Baas 8" Digital Photo Frames KBA04032 RRP $149  will only be listed on the participating websites listed in #4 on Friday December 17.
The total value of all prizes to be won is $51,500 inclusive of GST. Each individual publication has a prize pool of $5000 inclusive of GST. The prizes available to win include:

There are ten prizes of Kaiser Baas 8" Digital Photo Frames KBA04032 RRP $149 inclusive GST to win through entering any one of the participating websites listed in #4. Only one of the ten prizes is available to win for every online entry.
 
6.   To enter to win one or more of the following prizes readers must collect 3 prize tokens published from Saturday November 13 to Friday December 10, 2010 in the publications listed in #4. Each prize requires 3 tokens to form a complete entry and must all come from the same publication.
The tokens must be original newsprint - no photocopies, scanned images, web prints, reproductions or other falsified artwork will be accepted.  To be eligible to win a prize the correct number of tokens for the prize draw being entered must be placed in an envelope and marked with the  prize draw being entered.  Contestants may submit more than one entry as long as each entry contains the original tokens published during the promotional period.
Do NOT send in multiple entries in one envelope. Ten winners will be randomly selected from the 14 websites completed entries on the competition closing date and time of Wednesday December 15thth at 10am. The winner will be announced on the websites Friday December 17th.
 
7.  Competition duration:  The competition duration and deadlines apply to all participating   publications and websites. The competition commences on Saturday 13 November 2010 and ends on Wednesday 15 December, 2010.  Entry deadline is 10am Wednesday 15 December 2010 (“Closure Time”).  Entries received after the Closure Time will not be eligible. Entries for the 10 Kaiser Baas 8" Digital Photo Frames KBA04032 close 10am Wednesday 15 December, 2010.
 
8   Eligibility limitations:  Contestants under the age of 18 require parent/guardian permission to enter.  The following persons are ineligible to enter:
(i) employees of, or contractors to, the Promoter so far as they are directly associated with this competition;
(ii) the spouse, de facto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), of such employees and contractors (whether or not they live in the same household);
iii) Contestants who have used or attempted to use any more than one name in order to qualify to win any contest run by the Promoter except in the case of a legal change of name.
All Contestants acknowledge that even if the Promoter only learns of a person’s ineligibility after the Promoter has appeared to award the prize to the ineligible person, it may require the return of the prize or payment of its value to the Promoter to be dealt with as an unclaimed prize.

9.   Draw and notification:  The prize winners will be selected by random draw at 12 noon Wednesday December 15th at the participating newspaper office. The draw for the ten Kaiser Baas 8" Digital Photo Frames KBA04032 will be conducted randomly from all entries through the 14 participating websites listed in #4. The winner’s names will be listed on the websites Friday December 17th, 2010. Prizes awarded following winner validation and verification.  Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.  Winner’s details will be published in Daily Mercury, The Morning Bulletin, The Observer, News-Mail, Fraser Coast Chronicle, The Gympie Times, Sunshine Coast Daily, The QT, The Chronicle, Warwick Daily News, Tweed Daily News, The Northern Star, The Coffs Coast Advocate, The Daily Examiner on Friday 17 December 2010.  All Contestants acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to publicise and publish his / her name, character and likeness.  All contest winners must avail themselves for a photo if required by the Promoter and acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to utilise publicity photos in any reasonable manner it sees fit without compensation to the Contestant.
 
10. Redraw: In the event that the winner has not come forward by 2.30pm on Wednesday January 19 2011, the Promoter may conduct such further random draws as are necessary on this date at 3.00pm at the same place as the original draw, to select a new winner (s). In the event of a redrawn winner, he/she will be contacted directly on the phone number(s) provided.
 
11. Prize collection:  Prizes must be claimed in person unless winner is otherwise advised and ID that includes a photograph may be required.  Upon request by the Promoter a copy of the general contest rules and/or a signed receipt and acknowledgement must be signed and endorsed by any winner to indicate his/her understanding and acceptance of these terms. It is the sole responsibility of the winner to claim their prize.
 
12.  We are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by you or for     any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in the competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of the competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
 
13.  We are not responsible for lost, late, incomprehensible or incorrect entries in the competition. We also accept no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from prize winnings in the competition.  You should seek Independent financial advice about such matters.
 
14.  In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, disaster or (without limitation) any other event outside our reasonable control, we are entitled to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition - subject to any written directions from the various regulatory bodies responsible for supervising the conduct of the competition (the Lotteries Departments).
 
15.   If for any reason the competition is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to) technical failures, unauthorised intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, we are entitled in our sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and (subject to any written directions given by the various Lotteries Departments), to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
 
16.  The winners release the Promoter and their related bodies corporate from any and all causes of action, losses, liability, damage, expense (including legal expenses) cost or charge suffered, sustained or in any way incurred by the winner as a result of any loss or damage to any physical property of the winner, or any injury to or death of any person arising out of, or related to, or in any way connected with the Promoter or the prize.
 
17.  Promoter's limitation of liability:  The Promoter is not responsible for the loss of prizes due to incorrect or imprecise delivery details provided by a winner.  The Promoter also takes no responsibility for prizes lost or stolen after they have been released for delivery via postage or courier.  The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality/suitability/merchantability of any of the goods/services offered as prizes.  To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss suffered or sustained to personal property and including, but not limited to consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to the prize winner(s) and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying the winners. In the event that the stated prize(s) is unavailable at the time of the draw a substitute prize of equal value will be awarded to the winner(s).
