GAME OF SKILL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
METHOD OF ENTRY
1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the Competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
2. Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 and over only. Employees of PAN TV Ltd (“PANTV”), Special Broadcasting Services Corporation (“SBS”) and any other third party companies involved in the Competition and their immediate families are ineligible. By entering this Competition, entrants will be deemed to agree with these terms of entry.
3. The Summer Concert Picnic Pack Competition (“the Competition”) commences on Monday 29 November 2010 10am AEDT and ends on Friday 17 December 2010 at 10am AEDT.
4. To enter, participants must log onto
www.stvdio.com.au, fill out an entry form including (but not limited to) name, address, postcode and phone number, and answer the following question in 25 words or less: “What fantastic summer fun will you be having with the summer concert picnic pack?”
5. Online entries are limited to one entry per person. All entries become and remain the property of PANTV.
6. PANTV reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of Australian residency status at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity, in order to claim a prize. Acceptance of proof of identification, Australian residency status and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of PANTV. In the event that a winner cannot provide proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
7. Incomprehensible and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.
PRIZES
8. Three (3) prize winners will be selected. Each of the 3 winners will receive a prize, consisting of:
- 1 x Picnic Basket
- 2 x pod chairs
- 2 x pairs STVDIO binoculars
- 1 x Picnic Blanket
9. Each prize is valued at approximately $245.25
10. The total value of the prizes is approximately $735.75
11. All prizes are as depicted or described in the promotions for the Competition and are not subject to change.
12. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
13. Once prizes have left the prize supplier’s premises, we take no responsibility for prizes damaged, delayed or lost in transit.
WINNER NOTIFICATION
14. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. The winners will be selected on Monday 20 December 2010 at 10am AEDT by a panel of judges, comprised of representatives from PAN TV (“the Selection Panel”). All valid entries will be considered by and will be judged on their literary and creative merit.
15. The winners will be advised by phone and/or email by Tuesday 21 December 2010. Names of winners will be published on the STVDIO website (
www.stvdio.com.au) on Wednesday 22 December 2010.
16. If any of the winners cannot be contacted by Monday 14 February 2011, the unclaimed prize(s) will be awarded to the next best valid entry as determined by the Selection Panel. The winner(s) of the unclaimed prize(s) will be notified by phone and/or email and published on the STVDIO website (
www.stvdio.com.au) on Monday 21 February 2011.
FINAL CONDITIONS
17. Prize values are based upon the recommended retail prices at the time of publication (inclusive of GST). PANTV and SBS accept no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate prize redemption date.
18. PANTV reserves the right to exchange the prize for an alternative prize of approximate value.
19. To the extent permitted by law, PANTV and SBS do not accept responsibility for any variation in the prize and/or its value.
20. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier’s requirements.
21. PANTV and SBS accept no responsibility for any loss, damages, or injury incurred in entering the Competition or taking up the prize.
22. PANTV and SBS assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alterations of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available. If for any reason the Competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including, but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, the promoter reserves the rights in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition. 23. PANTV, SBS and their associated companies will not be responsible, to the extent permitted by law, for acts of god, acts of terrorism or war (declared or undeclared) or other events beyond their control which prevent awarding of the prize in accordance with the prize description. If such an event occurs, PANTV reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.
24. All entries must be the original independent creation of the entrant and free of any claims that they infringe any third party rights.
25. The judges reserve the right to disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which, in the opinion of the judges, includes objectionable content, including but not limited to profanity, nudity, potentially insulting, scandalous, inflammatory or defamatory images or language. The Selection Panel’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
26. All entries become and remain the property of PANTV. PANTV may use the entrants' names and addresses for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes.
27. All details of the entrants will be used and preserved in accordance with the National Privacy Principles. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to that office. Unless otherwise notified, PANTV may use the entries and details of entrants for promotional and publicity purposes.
