Our wine of the month is 2005 Stringy Brae Battle Cry Malbec from Sevenhill in the Clare Valley.

The limited-edition red wine, made by a proudly boutique producer, is a show of defiance against mass production in favour of independent, individual winemaking.

It is available from the Stringy Brae cellar door or by emailing hannah@stringybrae.com.au

Adelaide Matters has four packs of 2005 Stringy Brae Battle Cry Malbec, each containing three bottles (valued at $150), to give away.

Entry to all competitions is via www.adelaidematters.com.au, as stated in issue 130 of Adelaide Matters. The competitions start at 9am on Tuesday, December 14, and close on Tuesday, January 4, at 5pm. Winners will be randomly generated at Messenger Newspapers, 31 Waymouth St, Adelaide. All winners contacted by phone and published in Adelaide Matters issue 131, distributed Wednesday, January 26.
