Wednesday 26 January 2011 is Australia Day and Aussie World has a great day lined up. At the Ettamogah Pub the fun starts at 9am with a fair-dinkum Ute Show and at 10am there’s a patriotic Australian flag raising ceremony followed by the singing of the national anthem. Then it’s time for the Dunny’s to start racing! The winners are presented with a toilet seat trophy declaring them Dunny Race Champions of the World!
Inside Aussie World there are plenty of Australia Day activities just for the kids. In addition to over 30 rides and games the kid’s competitions include hula-hooping, thong throwing, hat throwing, lamington eating, redback throwing and watermelon eating. Other entertainment includes roving performers, circus entertainment, craft mania, funny clowns, face painting and loads more.
The Australia Day Dunny Races and the Ute Show are free to watch. All other races and games are for the kids and take place inside Aussie World. To take part in or to watch the Australia Day games and activities inside Aussie World simply purchase a pass to gain entry.
