http://www.whatsnewtv.com during the promotional period, view the ‘whatsnew?’ commercial on the promotional website and correctly answer the multiple choice questions on the promotional website.
2. If an incorrect answer is provided to one or more of the multiple choice questions, then the individual will be prompted to re-submit their answer, and they will not be able to proceed until the correct answer is provided.
3. If all of the multiple choice questions are answered correctly, the individual will then be prompted to provide their requested details, including their full name, postcode, a valid email address and a contact telephone number and submit the fully completed entry form during the promotional period (“Entrant”). Once the above process has been completed, Entrants will receive one (1) entry into the relevant Monthly Prize Draw.
Limit one (1) entry per household per day. 4. Entrants will then also be permitted to participate in either the online Bonus Entry 5 from 15 Scratch Game (“Bonus Entry Scratch Game”) or the online “Chance To Win $50,000” 5 from 15 Scratch Game (“$50,000 Scratch Game”).

4. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
5. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.

Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following: (a) limit one (1) entry per household per day; (b) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements; and (c) a maximum of five (5) bonus entries per household per day will be awarded in the Bonus Entry Scratch Game. 7. Prizes awarded in the $50,000 Online Scratch Game 9. There will be one (1) chance to play to win the major prize of $50,000 in the $50,000 Online Scratch Game, awarded to a randomly selected Entrant (“Player”) each day of the promotional period. If five (5) icons depicting the major prize of $50,000 are revealed during the $50,000 Online Scratch Game, then subject to verification by the Promoter, the Player will win $50,000 cash (awarded in the form of a cheque). In the event the Player does not successfully locate and select all five (5) icons depicting the major prize of $50,000, then the major prize of $50,000 will not be given away and, subject to verification by the Promoter, the Player will win the consolation prize of a one (1) month DVD rental subscription from Quickflix valued at $19.95.
10. Each Player’s odds of winning the $50,000 prize (whichever is applicable) once selected as a Player, are 1 in 3003. The odds of being randomly selected as a Player may be significantly higher than the odds of the Player winning the major prize, and will depend upon the number of entries received.
11. Any Player(s) who won the $50,000 major prize will have their name published in The Australian on Tuesday, 12 July 2011 and may also appear in future ‘whatsnew?’ promotional material.
Monthly Prize Draw 12. Entries close for each Monthly Prize Draw at 11:59pm AEST/AEDST (whichever is applicable) on the dates specified in the table below. 13. The first valid entry drawn in each Monthly Prize Draw will win $1,000, awarded in the form of a cheque.
14. Winners of a cash prize will receive a confirmation email to organise delivery of their prize.
15. Winners of a DVD rental subscription from Quickflix will be directed to the Quickflix website to organise their DVD subscription. Winners will be required to submit their credit card details on the Quickflix website in order to claim the prize, however, the credit card details collected is for the purpose of claiming any overdue fines. Winner will not be charged for the subscription itself or any delivery charges during the one (1) month period.
At the end of the one (1) month DVD subscription period, winners will be provided with details on how to cancel their DVD subscription after the one (1) month period should they decide to cease receiving their DVD subscription. Otherwise, the winner will automatically be subscribed to the DVD subscription if they do not cancel their subscription after the one (1) month period, and charges will then apply.
16. All provisional winners of the $50,000 Online Scratch Game will be notified online immediately and by email. All provisional Monthly Prize Draw winners will also be notified by email.
17. An unclaimed prize draw to distribute any unclaimed prizes will take place at the same place as the original draws on Tuesday, 4 October 2011 at 10am AEST, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. In the event of any unclaimed prizes resulting from the $50,000 Online Scratch Game, the winner of the unclaimed prize draw will receive the prize that was originally won as a result of the $50,000 Online Scratch Game (i.e. if the $50,000 major prize was selected by the original winner, it will be awarded in the unclaimed prize draw. If not, the DVD rental subscription from Quickflix consolation prize will be awarded in the unclaimed prize draw). Un-won prizes or any Quickflix e-voucher sent to a winner but not redeemed will not be available in the unclaimed prize draw.
18. The winner(s) from the unclaimed prize draw, if any, will be notified by email. Winners of any prizes valued at over $250 will be published in The Australian on Tuesday, 11 October 2011.
19. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
20. If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
21. Total potential prize pool value is up to $18,262,000.
22. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise specified.
23. Entrants consent to the Promoter using the Entrant's name, postcode and/or state, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
24. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any Entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
25. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the Entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the internet service provider used. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an Entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that Entrant invalid.
26. Quality control errors will not invalidate an otherwise valid prize claim.
27. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees, agents, respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion agencies) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) delayed game plays or any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged, illegible, inaccurate, incomplete, misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or Entrant; or (f) use/taking of a prize.
28. As a condition of accepting a prize, a winner must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
29. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the Entrant. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
