Continental Cup-a-Soup win a 3D TV in Woolworths promotion




For your chance to win purchase any four Continental Cup-a-Soup products in one transaction from a participating Woolworths or Safeway store and enter the promotion.

How to enter
To be eligible to enter, simply purchase any four (4) Continental Cup-a-Soup products (“Participating Products”) in one transaction from a participating Woolworths or Safeway store, (excluding Woolworths and Safeway Home Shop and Caltex Woolworths or Caltex Safeway co-branded outlets) between 9:00am AEST on 02/05/11 and 5:00pm AEST on 29/05/11 and enter in one of two ways:

(a) By Mail: Complete the official entry form available in-store by supplying their full name, phone number, address, the store where the Participating Products were purchased, the last 4 digits of each of the four (4) Participating Product’s barcodes and their Woolworths or Safeway receipt number and send their completed entry form to PO Box 626, Eastern Suburbs MC, NSW 2004. Mail entries must be received by 5.00pm AEST on 1/06/11;

OR
(b) By Internet: Log on to www.continental.com.au/woolworths and follow the prompts to leave their first and last name, postal address, contact details the last 4 digits of each of the four (4) Participating Product’s barcodes as well as their Woolworths or Safeway receipt number during the Promotional Period. All fields are mandatory for an entry to be valid.
 
Entrants must retain a photocopy of all Woolworths or Safeway purchase receipts for all entries as proof of purchase. Promoter reserves the right to request proof of purchase for each entry made to verify all entries before awarding the prize. Consumers may enter as many times as they like provided each entry is associated with the purchase of any four (4) Continental Cup-a-Soup products during the Promotional Period.

Terms & conditions
1. Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of these Conditions of Entry. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Entry is only open to Australian residents. Employees of the Promoter, participating Woolworths and Safeway stores, the Promoter’s associated companies, the Promoter’s agencies associated with this promotion and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.


3. Promotion commences 9.00am AEST on 02/05/11 and closes at 5:00pm AEST on 29/05/11 (“Promotional Period”). Online entries must be received during the Promotional Period. Mail entries must be received by 1/06/11. Entries close for each Prize Draw at 5.00pm AEST on 11/05/11, 18/05/11, 25/05/11 and  1/06/11. All Prize Draws will take place at The Consortium Centre, 87 Egerton Street, Silverwater, NSW 2128 at 11:00am AEST on 12/05/11, 19/05/11, 26/05/11 & 2/06/11. Un-drawn entries in each Prize Draw will be entered into any subsequent draws. Winners will be notified in writing by mail and by phone, and if verified in time, within two (2) days of each Prize Draw date.  The winners’ names and postcodes will be published in The Australian 23/05/11 (winners of Prize Draw 1 & 2) and 06/06/11 (winners of Prize Draw 3 & 4).

4. The first 10 valid entries drawn in each Prize Draw will win one (1) Sony 40” HX800 Series 3D Full HD Bravia LCD TV valued at RRP $2299.00 including GST.

5. Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. The maximum total prize pool is valued at up to RRP $91,960.00 inclusive of GST.
 
7. Prizes will only be delivered in Australia and winner/s should allow 28 days for delivery of their prize. Winners should satisfy themselves they are able to take delivery of the whole prize.

8. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries, at any time during or after the promotion, and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant (and ALL entries submitted by that entrant) for tampering with the entry process, including but not limited to the use of techniques designed to avoid payment of call costs, for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure of the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

9. Entrants are limited to one (1) entry per four (4) Participating Products purchased in the one transaction from a participating store. Proof of purchase for every entry submitted, in the form of a photocopy of an original store purchase receipt(s), must be provided on the Promoter’s request in order to claim the prize. Where the original receipt(s) is not provided on request, or the receipt(s) records a purchase outside of the Promotional Period, the entry will be deemed invalid and the prize will be re-drawn in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

10. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted from that source and by those entrants invalid.

11. Cost of accessing the Internet or mail entry is the entrant’s responsibility. Any costs associated with accessing the promotional website are the entrant’s responsibility and are dependent on the internet service provider used. Any contact details entered incorrectly shall invalidate the entry. The Promoter is not responsible for receipt of incomplete, damaged or incomprehensible entries. All such inaccurate entries will be deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries. Any entry that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions will be invalid.

12. The Promoter may conduct an unclaimed prize draw if necessary at the same address as the original draw on 5/9/11 at 11:00am AEST in order to distribute any prize/s unclaimed by that date, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. Any winner of such a draw will be notified in writing, within 2 days, and have their name and postcode published in The Australian on 9/9/11.

13. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from acceptance of the prize winnings.  Independent financial advice should be sought.

14. Limit of one prize per household per day, except in the case of winners from SA and ACT.


15. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash unless specified otherwise.   

16. In the event that any of the prizes are not available despite the Promoter’s reasonable endeavours to procure the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute prize(s) of equal recommended retail value, subject to any written directions from a relevant Regulatory Authority.

17. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value.

18. The Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with taking the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.  Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limit, exclude or modify or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”).

19. It is a condition of entry that the winner may be required to execute a Deed of Acknowledgement, Release and Indemnity in a form prescribed by the Promoter in its discretion.

20. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion subject to any written directions from a relevant Regulatory Authority.

21. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by the telephone or internet user or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this promotion, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this promotion including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or website, software failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries and any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in or downloading any materials in the promotion.

22. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to technical failures, unauthorised intervention, fraud or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and, subject to any written directions given by a relevant Regulatory Authority, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.

23. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. By entering this promotion, unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees that the Promoter may use this information, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant, including sending the entrant electronic messages. Entrants’ personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments and winners’ names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter at its address set out below. 24. Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.

25. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of age, identity and residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter.
