ABC VIP Program Terms & Conditions
The ABC VIP Program is operated by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABN: 52 429 278 345). Participation in the ABC VIP Program indicates agreement to be bound by its Terms and Conditions as detailed below.
Only individuals may be members of the ABC VIP Program. A person can join the ABC VIP Program when making a purchase at any ABC Shop or at ABC Shop Online at abcshop.com.au. To complete registration in the ABC VIP Program, a member must complete the registration form available at any ABC Shop or at ABC Shop Online at abcshop.com.au.
A member's full name, postal and email addresses and contact phone number are required when completing the registration form. These details, along with the member's transaction and offer history, will be held on a database maintained by the ABC, or a service provider engaged by the ABC, and will be collected, stored, used and disclosed in accordance with the ABC Shop's Privacy and Security policy. The ABC never sells personal or anonymous information to third parties. The ABC may disclose personal information to third party service providers, but has business arrangements with those service providers which provide for complete confidentiality. Under no circumstances will member information be made available to any other parties or used for any other purpose unless required by law. The ABC Shop's Privacy and Security policy can be viewed at ABC Shop Online at abcshop.com.au.
Each member consents to the ABC using his or her personal information to operate and provide the member with membership benefits of the ABC VIP Program and to send him or her marketing and promotional communications, including VIP Offers.  Each member also consents to the ABC using his or her personal information to assist in planning, developing and researching product and service offerings involving the ABC.
VIP Offers are marketing and promotional offers made only to one or more ABC VIP Program member.  VIP Offers may be tailored to specific member interests and a member’s purchase history.  VIP Offers are subject to any terms and conditions specified in the offer.
Members must keep their registration details, including postal and/or email address up to date. Failure to do so may result in suspension of the member’s ABC VIP Program account.  The ABC VIP Program member discount will continue to be available, but the member may miss out on VIP Offers communicated to ABC VIP Program members.   
All ABC VIP Program members are entitled to a $5.00 (five dollar) discount for every $100.00 (one hundred dollars) spent by the member in a single transaction at any ABC Shop, or via telephone, mail order, fax or online. For purchases via telephone, mail order, fax or online, freight charge is excluded from the $100.00 (one hundred dollars) spend.   Unless otherwise specified this ABC VIP Program discount is not available for use with any other offer. 
A VIP Card will be issued and activated at or shortly after the time of registration.  Membership is personal and a VIP Card issued to a member may only be used by that member.
In order to redeem any benefits of membership of the ABC VIP Program, a member must present a valid VIP Card at the point of sale or, if the purchase is made by telephone, fax, mail order or online, by quoting their VIP Card number - in each case at the start of the transaction.  If a VIP Card has not been produced or the card number has not been provided at the start of the transaction, the member will not be entitled to the offer or discount.
Member account details, including a list of previous purchases and benefits,  will be updated  each night and can be checked via ABC Shop Online at abcshop.com.au or when visiting or making a purchase at an ABC Shop.
Members must notify the ABC if their VIP Card is lost, stolen or damaged. The ABC may issue a member with a replacement card ($2 fee). Any VIP Offers or benefits recorded on a member’s VIP Card will be cancelled but may be replaced by the ABC.  The issuing of replacement VIP Cards and the re-instatement of current VIP Offers or benefits on lost, stolen or damaged VIP Cards is at the ABC’s discretion.
The VIP Card is not a credit card, debit card or stored value gift card and is to be used only for purposes associated with the operation of the ABC VIP Program.
The ABC does not exchange benefits available under the ABC VIP Program for cash.
The ABC VIP Program does not operate at ABC Centres or other ABC product stockists.
Trade purchases are not available for inclusion in the ABC VIP Program.
The ABC VIP Program excludes purchases of ABC Gift Cards but includes purchases of products where ABC Gift Cards are redeemed.
Any disputes relating to the ABC VIP Program should be raised with ABC as soon as practical. ABC retains absolute discretion in the resolution of all disputes and ABC's decision is final and binding on members.
All conditions and warranties, whether express or implied and whether arising under statute or otherwise, as to the condition, suitability, quality, fitness or safety of any goods or services supplied under the ABC VIP Program are expressly excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.  Any liability the ABC may have to a member under statute in respect of such goods and services which cannot be excluded is limited, where permitted, to supplying, or paying the cost of supplying, the goods or services again or repairing, or paying the costs of repairing, the goods, at the ABC's option.
Members do not rely on any representation, warranty or other provision made by the ABC or on the ABC’s behalf about the ABC VIP Program which is not expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions.
Any tax, liability or duty arising from a member's participation in the ABC VIP Program is the responsibility of the member.
All VIP Cards remain the property of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and may be recalled at the reasonable discretion of the ABC at any time.
The ABC reserves the right to change, suspend or terminate these Terms and Conditions, the ABC VIP Program, and any benefits under ABC VIP Program at any time.  The ABC will give advance notice of any such circumstance at ABC Shop Online at abcshop.com.au or by communication to the members, allowing each member to cancel its membership within the period of that advance notice.  Where the ABC changes these Terms and Conditions, the ABC VIP Program, and any benefits under ABC VIP Program an updated copy of them will be available at ABC Shop Online at abcshop.com.au.  Continuing to participate in the ABC VIP Program and use of a member’s VIP Card after the period of advance notice has expired will be deemed acceptance of the amended Terms and Conditions.
