CONDITIONS
• Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of these terms and
conditions.
• Any entry, which does not comply with these terms and conditions, is invalid.
• Entry is open to Australian residents. Employees of the Promoter or its
associated companies, employees of any agencies associated with this
Promotion and the immediate families of any such employees are not eligible
to enter.
• The Promotion commences at 9am on 19 September 2011 AEDT and
concludes at midnight on 31 December 2011 AEDT (“Promotional Period”).
• To enter, during the Promotional Period purchase either of the Darrell Lea
Bites Traditional Liquorice 225g or Darrell Lea Bites Strawberry Liquorice
225g (“Promotional Products”) from participating Woolworths Ltd and Big W
stores. Then go to the Darrell Lea website: www.dlea.com.au or the
competition microsite: www.creatingsweetmagic.com.au/bites to complete
and submit the entry form, including name, contact details, bar code number
and 25 words or less telling us “why you like Darrell Lea Bites Liquorice”
during the Promotional Period.
• Entrants may enter only once. Any form of automated entry using any other
devices or software is invalid. The Promoter will require prize winners to
provide proof of purchase of the Promotional Products in order to receive a
prize.
• Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Promoter. The
Promoter is not responsible for failure to receive any entry for any cause
beyond its control.
• The Promoter may verify the validity of entries and may disqualify any
entrant, including any entrant who uses techniques designed to facilitate
multiple entries that are not associated with a separate Promotional Product
purchase in accordance with these terms and conditions.
• The first valid entry will win the Major Prize (“Major Prize”).
The Major Prize is:

Conditions:
All inclusions are subject to availability at time of booking. Excludes public
holidays/school holiday periods and special events.
Winner can travel up to 12 months from the draw date. Travel must be booked within
2 months of winner notification.
Price for Travel Package: up to $5,000, but subject to change.
• The Major Prize is subject to booking and availability. The Travel Package
will be valid for 12 months from the date of notification and cannot be taken
during school holidays, public holidays and special event periods. Travel must
be booked within 2 months of winner notification.
• Unless otherwise stipulated, all meals, spending money, insurance, taxes,
transfers, transport to and from point of departure, transport to and from
accommodation and all other ancillary costs (including but not limited to any
unplanned travel or accommodation expenses) are not included and are the
responsibility of the winner. Winners may be required to present their credit
card at time of accommodation check-in.
• In addition to these Terms and Conditions, the relevant prize supplier’s terms
and conditions apply, including with out limitation to, any airline travel and
ticketing terms and conditions.
• During the entire duration of the prize, a nominated parent/guardian must
accompany any person under 18 years of age.
• The winner (and any companion) must depart from and return to the same
departure point and travel together.
• Itinerary to be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
• If for any reason a winner does not take the prize or an element of the prize at
the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize
will not be redeemable for cash.
• As a condition of accepting the Travel Package, the winner (and any
companion/s) must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required
by the Promoter / Prize Supplier / organisers in their absolute discretion
including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
• The winner (and any companion) is responsible for ensuring that they have
valid passports, and any requisite visas, vaccinations and travel
documentation.
Deed of Release:
• In consideration of being offered the prize as specified (“the Major Prize”) in
the promotion specified (“the Promotion”) conducted by the promoter the
recipient (“the Recipient”) hereby warrants, represents, acknowledges and
agrees to the terms of this Deed:
• This terms and conditions of this Deed are at all times subject to the
Recipient’s legal rights under the Trade Practices Act 1974 and nothing herein
shall be construed as attempting to exclude or diminish any such rights.
• As a condition of accepting the Prize in the Promotion, the Recipient
acknowledges and agrees that:
• The Prize is inherently dangerous and may result in injury to, or death of, the
Recipient and the Recipient participates in the Prize at his/her own risk; and
• The Promoter, and organisers of the Prize, including without limitation to
Granted Worldwide Pty Ltd or their respective servants, officials, employees,
representatives or agents (hereinafter collectively referred to as “the
Organisers”) shall not be held liable for the Recipient’s death or bodily injury,
or any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited
to indirect or consequential loss) by the Recipient as a result of the Recipient’s
participation in or use of the Prize.
• The Recipient releases from, and indemnifies, the Organisers against all
liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of the Recipient’s acceptance of the
Prize or participation in the Promotion including (but not limited to) loss of
income, personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or
consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or
otherwise.
• The Recipient undertakes to not engage in any illegal or unsafe behaviour (as
determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion) whilst participating in the
Prize and the Promoter reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to
withdraw the remaining components of the Prize in such a case. The
Recipient agrees to comply with all applicable health and safety directions and
requirements, at all times before, during and after taking the Prize, and further
to undergo any applicable medical tests and/or training requirements, as
specified by the relevant prize supplier. The Promoter reserves the right to
refuse to allow the Recipient to take part in any or all aspects of the Prize, if
the Promoter determines, in its absolute discretion, that the Recipient is not in
the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely participate in
the Prize.
• A decision of the Promoter in relation to the conduct of the Promotion is
binding and conclusive and may not be challenged on any grounds, including
without limitation, the grounds that the Promoter failed to act reasonably,
fairly, in good faith or otherwise in accordance with the principles of
procedural fairness. The Promoter’s decision will remain binding and
conclusive notwithstanding that it can be demonstrated that the Promoter made
a decision that was wrong, based on a factual error or an irrelevant or
irrational consideration.
• The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss incurred by a Recipient in
the event that a scheduled Prize is cancelled for any reason beyond the control
of the Promoter, including but not limited to any instance where the relevant
prize supplier deems that conditions are too dangerous to proceed or continue
with the Prize. In this event, the Recipient acknowledges and agrees that the
Prize will not be re-scheduled, nor will the Recipient be entitled to receive any
compensation from the Promoter in lieu of the Prize (unless otherwise
determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion).
• The Recipient agrees that the Organisers shall not be responsible for any
cancellations, delays, diversions changes resulting from any act or omission
whatsoever, by the Recipient or any companion or resulting from any act or
omission by any governmental authority with respect to the recipient or their
companion(s) and that the Organisers shall have no responsibility to make
alternative arrangements.
• The Recipient agrees that the Organisers shall not be responsible for any
cancellations, delays, diversions, substitutions, or any act or omission
whatsoever, by performers or events included in the Prize, if any, or by any air
carriers or other transportation companies, hotels or other persons providing
any travel or event related services or accommodation to passengers, including
any changes in services or accommodation necessitated by the same.
• By accepting the Prize, the Recipient agrees to participate and co-operate as
required in all editorial activities relating to the Prize, including but not limited
to being interviewed, photographed, filmed and/or chaperoned throughout the
duration of the Prize.
• In consideration for the Promoter awarding the Prize to the Recipient, the
Recipient hereby assigns to the Promoter all right, title and interest in and to
all copyright in any material created pursuant to the Recipient’s participation
in any aspect of the Prize (Works). The Recipient acknowledges that the
Promoter is free to use the Works and to exercise its rights in relation thereto
and the Recipient will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
• In consideration for the Promoter awarding the Prize to the Recipient, the
Recipient hereby permits the Recipient’s image and/or voice, as recorded,
photographed or filmed during the Recipient’s participation in the Prize, in
any media whatsoever throughout the world and the Recipient will not be
entitled to any fee for such use.
• The Recipient acknowledges and warrants that the Recipient is an eligible
Recipient under the terms and conditions of the Promotion and has not made
any false statements or given any false information to the Promoter. The
Recipient agrees that the Recipient must forfeit the Prize (and return it if it is
already in the Recipient’s possession) if the Recipient is subsequently
discovered to have been ineligible under the terms and conditions or to have
made a false statement or given false information.
• The Recipient acknowledges that the failure to complete all relevant
information and return this Deed by the nominated date and address as
specified in Item 5 in Schedule 1 may result in the Recipient’s forfeiture of the
Prize.
• The Recipient hereby certifies and represents that they have read this Deed
and fully understands the effect thereof, and is intending to be legally bound
by the same.
• The prize draw will take place at midday AEDT on 20th January 2012 at
Darrell Lea Chocolate Shops, 200 Rocky Point Road, Kogarah, New South
Wales 2217 and the winners will be notified by mail. Winners of prizes will
have their names and postcodes displayed on the Darrell Lea website:

• Entrants agree to the use of their image and name for publicity regarding the
Promotion and acknowledge that it is a condition of taking the prize that all
persons taking the trip agree to publicity regarding the Promotion including
the use of their names and images without additional compensation.
• The total prize pool is valued at up to $5,500 (GST inclusive). Prizes are not
transferable and cannot be taken as cash. Prize values are correct at the time of
printing but no responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of any
prizes.
• The Promoter may conduct an unclaimed prize draw at the same place as the
original draw at midday AEDT on 31st January 2012 to distribute any prizes
unclaimed by that date, subject to any written directions given under Reg 37
Lottery & Gaming Regs 1993 (SA). The first valid entry drawn will win the
prize of the highest value and so on until all prizes have been distributed. The

• The Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage, including indirect or
consequential loss or damage, or personal injury suffered during the course of
accepting or using the prize, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by

• If a winner is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the
winner’s parent or guardian on their behalf.
• All decisions made by the Promoter are final and no correspondence will be
entered into.
• Subject to the approval required by any relevant gaming or lotteries authority,
if any prize item is unavailable despite the Promoter’s reasonable endeavours
to procure it in Australia, the Promoter may substitute a different prize item of
equal or greater value.
• If the Promotion is not able to be run as planned, whether caused by computer
virus, line drop-out or congestion, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud,
technical failures or other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which
affects the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the Promotion, the
Promoter may cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion. The
Promoter may disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
