When the Australian Team marches into the London Opening Ceremony on July 27, 2012, which athlete would you like to see carrying the Australian flag and why? Olympic Moments Terms & Conditions (July)
Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
The Promoter is the Australian Olympic Committee Incorporated, Level 3, 1 Atchison St, St Leonards NSW 2065, ABN 33 052 258 241
The promotion will commence on 27 July 2011 at 00:01 (AEST) with final entries closing on  15 August 2011 at 23:59 (AEST). Subsequent promotions will be run on a monthly basis until 15 July 2012, however conditions of entry and prizes may vary and each subsequent promotion will be conducted as a separate promotion unless otherwise advised by the Promoter on its website.
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process.  No responsibility accepted for lost, late, illegible or misdirected entries.
Only one entry per person per promotion is permitted. Entry is only open to Australian residents who fulfill the entry requirements. Entrants must be at least 18 years old or must have the consent of their parent(s) or guardian to enter the promotion. Employees, directors, management, licensees and contractors of the Promoter, its related companies and agencies associated with the promotion, the immediate families of the above listed persons, and the retailers of and suppliers to the Promoter are ineligible to enter.
To enter the promotion, entrants must enter online at olympics.com.au. Entries must include contact details of the entrant including name, phone number, contact email address and their State/Territory of residence. Entrants must describe in 25 words  the Battle of London that they are most excited about. All entrants must also be members of the olympics.com.au site to be eligible enter the promotion and to win any prize. Site membership is free and entitles members to receive eNewsletters and selection updates.
This is a game of skill, and chance plays no part in determining the winner. Entries will be judged on creativity and the entries judged to be the most creative will be deemed winners.
There are a total of six (6) prizes in the promotion, to a total prize pool value of up to AUD 1149.

          The next five runner-up entries will receive a “BK BBQ Pack” comprising of 1x Boxing Kangaroo plush toy (22cm), 2x BBQ
          aprons, 2x BBQ mits, 4x thongs and 4x drink holders. The total value of each “BK BBQ Pack” prize is AUD 50.

           a.      No exchange of prize: Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and are not redeemable for cash. If for any reason,
                    a prize winner cannot take the whole or any component of the prize then the prize will be forfeited.
           b.      Ancillary costs: All call costs, insurance, taxes and ancillary costs are not included in a prize unless specified and are the
                    responsibility of the prize winner.

    9.    Judging will be complete at Level 19, Governor Macquarie Tower, Sydney NSW 2000 by 12pm AEST on 20 July 2011. The winning
           entries will be judged by a panel of three (3) judges including one Manager of the Promoter.

           The winners will be notified by phone and then email on the 20 July 2011. The winners’ names and State/Territory of residence
           will be published online at olympics.com.au from 27 July 2011

    10.   The Promoter may choose alternate winners as are necessary if any prize(s) remain unclaimed after three months.

    11.   Subject to State/Territory legislation and any written directions from a regulatory authority, if any prize (or part of any prize) is
            unavailable for any reason, the Promoter, in its absolute discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the
            prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification.

    12.    If a winner of a prize is under 18 years of age, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s nominated parent or guardian.   

    13.    The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. All entries become the property of the Promoter.

    14.    The Promoter may at its discretion refuse to award any prize to any entrant who fails to comply with these conditions of entry.

    15.    Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

    16.    The Promoter, its contractors, employees and agents, shall not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, injuries, costs and
            expenses suffered sustained or incurred (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) as a result of, arising out
            of or in any way connected with the promotion and/or its prizes, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law.

            Tax implications may arise from the receipt or use of a prize.  Independent financial advice should be sought. If a prize or
            receipt of it incurs a tax liability, the prize winner is liable for payment of such tax.

   17.     The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or
             transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of the promotion. The
             Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone, network or lines, computer on-line
             systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any
             web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or referral’s or any other person’s computer
             related to or resulting from participation in or down-loading any material in this promotion.

   18.      Upon submitting an entry for this promotion, the entrant grants the Promoter the right to use the winners’ name(s), entry and
             photograph(s) for publicity purposes.

   19.     Any costs associated with accessing the www.olympics.com.au website are the entrant’s responsibility and are dependent on the
