FIVE COPIES OF CARNAGE DVD


Academy Award winners Kate Winslet, Jodie Foster, Christoph Waltz and Academy Award nominee John C. Reilly star in Roman Polanksi’s adaptation of the Tony Award-winning play. Carnage is a razor-sharp, biting comedy centred on parental differences. After two boys come to blows in the playground, the victim’s parents, liberal writer Penelope Longstreet and her wholesaler husband Michael (Foster and Reilly), invite the bully’s parents, ‘power couple’ Nancy and Alan Cowan (Winslet and Waltz), to their apartment to work out their issues.

A polite discussion of child-rearing soon escalates into verbal warfare, with all four parents revealing their true colours. Set in contemporary Brooklyn, New York, and based in just one apartment, the film explores the dynamics of spousal relationships, using deeply dark humour and sharp dialogue to create a witty examination of modern families.
