The Look of Rundle Mall 2012
 

Rundle Mall is the premiere destination for fashion in South Australia. As such, the Rundle Mall Management Authority is looking for the best of the best to represent the precinct. We’re looking for a talented individual who has it all; the look, the walk, and the “talk”!

How Contestants will Enter
 
As a ‘The Look of Rundle Mall 2012’ hopeful, you can register their entry online at rundlemall.com/TheLookofRundleMall.  You’ll need to supply a recent head shot and the name of the Agency with which you are registered.
 
How the Winner is Chosen
 
Step 1: Hopefuls register online at rundlemall.com/TheLookofRundleMall between 22 September and 5 October 2012.
Step 2: The field will then be narrowed to 70 finalists by a judging panel.
Step 3: The 70 finalists will be invited to attend an audition on 11 October 2012, where the field will be narrowed to two groups of 25 participants.
Step 4: Each group of 25 finalists will perform on the catwalk in Rundle Mall as part of the Adelaide Fashion Festival. At each of these heats the finalist group will be narrowed to 10 participants to form a Top 20.
Step 5: The Top 20 will perform on the catwalk at The Look of Rundle Mall Finale, with a winner and two runners-up chosen by an elite judging panel.
 
Prizes
 
The winner of The Look of Rundle Mall 2012 will receive a “money can’t buy” prize package, including:
Photographic inclusion in the March 2013 edition of Unique Magazine
Modelling inclusion in the March 2013 Rundle Mall fashion parades
A photographic spread in the Sunday Mail by Mirella Romano
A television and web presenting course by Lisa McAskill Presents
Co-host an episode of Rundle Mall TV with Rundle Mall TV host, Nadia Stamp
A photography portfolio by Milan Image Factory
A photoshoot make-up session with Dale Dorning
A hair styling session with Salvatore Agostino
A styling session with Rundle Mall Stylist Tamara Nicole
$1,000 to spend on Rundle Mall

What are the Judges Looking For?
Males and females, 16–28 years of age
An aptitude towards catwalk modelling
Above average communication skills
Fashion sense and high quality presentation

Terms & Conditions:

Applications open 9:00am on 21 September 2012 and close at 5:00pm on 5 October 2012
Maximum one entry per person
There is no limit to the number of entries from any Modeling Agency and/or Talent Co
Entrants must be between the ages of 16 and 28 years of age as at 5 October 2012
Entrants must be ‘signed’ to a South Australian talent or model agency at the time of their application
Entrance in to The Look of Rundle Mall (the competition) is not open to employees of the Rundle Mall Management Authority
No responsibility is taken for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt
Entrants warrant that they are currently engaged in a commercial, sponsorship or other agreement or arrangement (inc a course) with a South Australian modelling or talent agency  in order to be eligible for entry in to the competition
Entrants to the competition agree that any personal information provided may be used by the Rundle Mall Management Authority and/or Adelaide City Council for the purposes of publicising the competition
There will be 70 finalists chosen by a judging panel. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into
The 70 finalists will be invited to attend an audition on 11 October 2012 at 5:30pm where a judging panel will narrow the finalists to 50.  The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Entrants must be available at this time to progress to the further judging rounds
The top 50 finalists will be split in to two groups of 25 for a subsequent round of judging where they will be required to walk a catwalk on either 19 October 2012 at 12:30pm or 26 October 2012 at 12:30pm.  Entrants must be available at this time to progress to the further judging rounds 
At each event (19 October & 26 October) 10 finalists (20 in total) will be chosen by a judging panel to progress to the Final Heat (to be held on 15 November 2012 at 7:30pm).  The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Entrants must be available at this time to progress to the further judging rounds
The top 20 finalists will be invited to attend the competition finale on 15 November 2012 at 7:30pm where a judging panel will award a first prize and two runners up prizes.  The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Entrants must be available at this time to be considered for judging
The finalist who receives the highest number of votes from the judging panel will be the winner. The winner will receive a prize package containing:
                      i.        Paid photographic inclusion in the March 2013 edition of Unique Magazine
                                          i.    The models time (including hair & make-up), superannuation, and agency fees will be paid up to a total of $1,100 inc GST
                                         ii.    This amount will include image usage in the March 2013 edition of Unique Magazine and online
                                        iii.    Image usage and placement within Unique Magazine will be at the sole discretion of the Editor
                                        iv.    Additional image usage (for local press, outdoor banners, etc) will be negotiated with the Winner’s Agency/Talent Co as required
                     ii.        Paid modeling inclusion in the March 2013 Rundle Mall fashion parades
                                          i.    The models time, superannuation, and agency fees will be paid up to a total of $1,100 inc GST
                                         ii.    This amount will include rehearsals, the performance of 7 fashion parades over 2 days, Agency fees and on-costs
             iii.     Paid photographic inclusion in a feature fashion spread in SA Style magazine
                            i.   The models time (including hair & make-up), superannuation, and agency fees will be paid up to a total of $1,100 inc GST
                                         ii.    This amount will include image usage in a chosen edition of SA Style Magazine and online
                                        iii.    Image usage and placement within SA Style Magazine will be at the sole discretion of the Editor
                    iv.        A photographic spread in the Sunday Mail
                                          i.    Models time, superannuation, and agency fees will not be paid
                    v.        A television and web presenting course with Lisa McAskill
                                          i.    Models time, superannuation, and agency fees will not be paid
                    vi.        Co-host an episode of Rundle Mall TV with Rundle Mall TV Host, Nadia Stamp
                                          i.    Models time, superannuation, and agency fees will not be paid
                    vii.        Photography portfolio by Milan Image Factory
                                          i.    Models time, superannuation, and agency fees will not be paid
                   viii.        Make-up session by Dale Dorning
                                          i.    Models time, superannuation, and agency fees will not be paid
                   ix.        Hair Styling session by Salvatore Agostino
                                          i.    Models time, superannuation, and agency fees will not be paid
                   x.        Styling session with Rundle Mall Stylist Tamara Nicole
                                          i.    Models time, superannuation, and agency fees will not be paid
                   xi.        $1,000 Rundle Mall voucher
The finalists who receive the second and third highest number of votes from the judging panel will be the runners-up. The runners up will receive a prize package containing:
                      i.        Hair Styling session by Salvatore Agostino
                                          i.    Models time, superannuation, and agency fees will not be paid
                     ii.        Styling session with Rundle Mall Stylist Tamara Nicole
                                          i.    Models time, superannuation, and agency fees will not be paid
                    iii.        $500 Rundle Mall voucher
By entering the competition, the entrants consent to having their photographs taken for use by the Rundle Mall Management Authority and/or Adelaide City Council in public advertising campaigns and for such other purpose as the Rundle Mall Management Authority and/or Adelaide City Council deem appropriate.  Other than where noted above, the Rundle Mall Management Authority and/or Adelaide City Council may use these images free of charge and the entrants and the overall winner shall not be entitled to receive payment for any reproduction or future use of such images. Images may be edited /retouched
All costs incurred by the entrants in connection with attending required entry events, including without limitation travel, accommodation, spending money, meals and drinks, together with any other expenses incurred in connection with this competition, are the responsibility of the entrant
All costs incurred by the winner in connection with attending prize opportunities, including without limitation travel, accommodation, spending money, meals and drinks, together with any other expenses incurred in connection with this competition, are the responsibility of the entrant.
The Rundle Mall Management Authority and/or Adelaide City Council shall be entitled to publish the name of the winner and shall be entitled to use, free of charge, any or all material submitted (including the photographs) for reproduction in any form.
The winner will be notified in person at the competition finale (15 November 2012)
All prizes are non‐transferable and there will be no cash alternative or alternative prizes available.
The Rundle Mall Management Authority and/or Adelaide City Council shall be entitled to publish the name of the runners up.
The Rundle Mall Management Authority and/or Adelaide City Council shall not be liable for any failure to comply with their obligations where the failure is caused by something outside their reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
The Rundle Mall Management Authority and/or Adelaide City Council accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the competition or accepting the prize. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude the liability of the promoters for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of negligence.
Entry to the competition confirms acceptance of these rules as final and legally binding.
