World Vision 40 Hour Famine – Win A Year of Music promotion

1. This competition is being run by MCM Media Pty Ltd (ABN: 99 070 076 523) of Suite 103, Level 1, 355 Crown Street, Surry Hills, NSW 2010 (“MCM Media”, “Promoter”).
2. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of the terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry. All entries are via online www.winwith40hourfamine.com.au or the World Vision Australia 40 Hour Famine Facebook page. Incomplete or incomprehensible entries will be deemed ineligible. This is a Game of Skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Entrants are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Facebook
3. To enter the competition, users will be required to log onto the above website or Facebook page, click through to the “Win a Year of Music’ promotional tile, users will be required to register for the 40 Hour famine via the registration page, https://famine.worldvision.com.au/famineregistration/register?lpos=Famin_home_Register_now_Button and tell us in 25 words or less “Which band or artist do you most want to see live and why?”. All answers are required in English. The user will also be asked to register their details including name, date of birth, address, phone number, 40 Hour famine user name and e-mail address. In order for an entry to be valid, the entrant must raise a minimum of $150.00 AUD for the World Vision Australia 40 Hour Famine and those funds be received by World Vision Australia by September 30th 2013
4. Entry for the major prize is open to all Australian residents 13 years and over. Employees (and their immediate families) of MCM Media, World Vision Australia, associated agencies of MCM Media and companies associated with the promotion are not eligible to enter the promotion.
5. The competition commences on Friday 19th July 2013 at 12.00pm (AEST) and all entries must be received before Monday 30th September 2013 at 3:00pm (AEST).
6. All responses will be read and judged by a judging panel on Monday 30th September 2013 at MCM Media, Suite 103, Level 1, 355 Crown Street, Surry Hills, NSW 2010 at 3.30pm (AEST). The winners will be notified by phone within one working day of the relevant judging date. The winners will be determined on their creativity.
Major prize: The entry judged as the most creative will be awarded the major prize,
being 12 x double passes to concerts as selected by the winner (concert tickets are subject to availability and approval by both the promoter and World Vision Australia) 9 x of the nominated 12 x concerts will include double passes to a concert in the winners nearest capital city – (travel and any other associated expenses are not included). 3 x of the nominated 12 x concerts will include double passes to concerts as selected by the winner, 2 x economy airfares from the winners nearest capital city to an Australian capital city of their choice, 1 x nights twin share accommodation in a 3.5 star hotel or better, airport/hotel transfers and event/hotel transfers. All other associated expenses are the responsibility of the winner. The major prize is valued at a maximum of $10,000.00AUD
Runner up prizes; 15 x runner up winners will be awarded a pair of Sol Republic HD Tracks headphones, each runner up prize is valued at a maximum of $159.00 each.
The total prize pool is valued at a maximum of $12,385.00

7. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prizes are not exchangeable or transferable and prizes cannot be redeemed for cash.
8. Prize values are the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are correct at time of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value.
9. If the Prize Winner is under the age of 18, then an adult over the age of 18 must accompany the Prize Winner as their guest in the participation of the prize.
10. Travel must be taken at the time specified by the promoter All travel arrangements, return economy flights, accommodation, transfers and event tickets including dates, times, logistics and mechanics are at the discretion of the Promoter and must be taken as specified by the Promoter. If a winner and travelling companions are, for whatever reason, unable to travel on a nominated date, or do not take an element of the prize within the time stipulated by the Promoter then the prize will be forfeited by the winner. Cash will not be awarded in lieu of the major prize or any element thereof.
11. The Prize Winner and their guest must travel at the same time, must depart from the same capital city and are responsible for transport from their residence to their nearest capital city for flight departure.
12. The Prize Winner and their guest are responsible for all other expenses including additional spending money, meals, drinks, additional transfers (unless specified), laundry charges, activities (unless specified), incidentals, taxes (excluding departure and any other flight associated taxes included within the prize), energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, passports, travel insurance, items of a personal nature, in-room charges and all other ancillary costs. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
13. Air tickets are available on the regular scheduled services of each airline and are subject to seasonal embargos. Flight itinerary may have to be adjusted depending on the airlines departure city and their current flight schedule. Frequent Flyer points are not available from any airline.
14. A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the winner at check-in to the hotel, for all incidental
15. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any other prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
16. Neither MCM Media and their associated agencies nor any other companies associated with this promotion (including World Vision Australia) will take responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit. Once prizes have left Promoter's premises, the Promoter will not be responsible for any delay in delivery, or failure of safe delivery of prizes.
17. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner and their guests may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the promoter in its absolute discretion.
18. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address, and/or proof of entry validity. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit their prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
19. All winning entries become the property of MCM Media. MCM Media will use the personal information of entrants for identification purposes and for the purpose of running the competition. MCM Media will not, without the entrant’s permission, sell or otherwise provide this information to third parties, except for World Vision Australia. 20. World Vision Australia may use the personal information of entrants for purposes associated with the competition, to communicate with you about its work, as the law permits or for other purposes explained in its privacy statement (see at worldvision.com.au or call 13 32 40).
21. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition
22. In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders it's determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the event and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
