12 Christmas Elves Competition
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. How to enter the competition
Pick up a Pumpkin Patch 12 Christmas elves competition official entry form at any Pumpkin Patch store located in New Zealand or Australia (the “Store”), fill out the entry form, filling in the names of the 12 elves and colour in the drawing (collectively, the drawing and the entry are referred to as the “entry”), fill out the official entry form, and hand your entry in at the store counter between Tuesday 24th December 2013 and the close of business on Tuesday 31st December 2013 (the “Competition Period”). The names of the 12 Christmas elves will be released over 12 days in Pumpkin Patch store windows (excludes outlet stores) and at pumpkinpatchkids.com. The official entry form is available for download from www.pumpkinpatch.com.au and www.pumpkinpatch.co.nz in pdf format. No facsimiles or mechanically or digitally reproduced entries allowed. The Sponsor is not responsible for incomplete, lost, late, stolen, misdirected, damaged or illegible entries or for address changes of entrants. Limit one entry per person. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned.
2. Eligibility
The competition is open to all citizens and permanent residents of New Zealand and Australia under the age of 15. Pumpkin Patch and its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (“Sponsor and its agents”) and members of their immediate families and people living in the same household of each are not eligible.
3. Winners
On Wednesday 15th January 2014 or thereabouts, the winning entries will be selected by the judge(s) based on artistic merit having regard to the age of the entrant. There will be 14 overall winners across New Zealand and Australia. This is an artistic competition based on skill. No element of chance is involved in selecting the winning entry. The judging panel will consist of a children’s fashion design artist. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winners will be notified by email and/or phone at the contact details given on the entry form on or about Friday 17th January 2014 or thereabouts. The winners will be announced on Tuesday 21st January 2014. If for any reason the winner does not claim the prize by Friday 21st February 2014, then the prize will be forfeited by the winner, and the Sponsor will select an alternative winner in accordance with this paragraph.
4. Prizes
There will be two grand prizes to be won. Each grand prize consists of a family beach holiday to the value of $2,500.
The winner of the Grand Prize Competition will win a family beach holiday for 2 adults and 2 children (children are under the age of 14). The Grand Prize only includes the following,
a. 3 nights twin share accommodation to the value of $1800, at a three and a half or four star family bach as agreed by the sponsor and grand prize winner
b. expense money of $700 in the winners local currency. Total expense money will be loaded on to a Prezzy card or a prepaid Visa gift card. Prezzy card and Visa are not participants in or sponsors of this promotion.
1. The total maximum prize value of the Grand Prize is $2500 in the grand prize winners local currency.
2. The grand prize winner must assist with booking of accommodation as early as possible to ensure
availability.
3. The Grand Prize does not cover any other travel costs. All components of the Grand Prize must be taken
together.
4. If for any reason the GP Winner is unable to accept the Grand Prize as stated, and within the date indicated,
the GP Winner will forfeit the Prize and no compensation will be given in lieu.
5. The beach holiday must be booked by 30th June 2014
The 12 runner-ups, will each receive one of the following 12 prizes; $100 Rebel Sports voucher, Pumpkin Patch gift card to the value of $50, iPod shuffle to the value of $100, skateboard to the value of $100, Pumpkin Patch swimwear to the value of $100, arts and crafts to the value of $50, Pumpkin Patch sleepwear to the value of $50, costume from Patch general store to the value of $100, Pumpkin Patch accessories to the value of $50, 2 x Pumpkin Patch beach bags to the value of $50 each – 1 donated to the charity of your choice, scooter to the value of $150.
5. General
By entering, entrants agree to: (1) release the Sponsor and its agents from all liability, injuries, loss and/or damage of any kind arising from their participation in the competition and the acceptance, possession and use/misuse of any prize (2) be bound by these terms and conditions in the decisions of the judge(s) and (3) be contacted by Sponsor by mail and/or telephone/email. By accepting a prize, the winners consent to the use of their names and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation in all media worldwide (to the extent not prohibited by law). Entry in this competition deems full acceptance by the entrant of these terms and conditions of entry. The competition is subject to all applicable legislation. The winner is responsible for all taxes applicable to the acceptance and use of his/her prize.
6. Privacy
The Promoter collects personal information (PI) about you to enable the Promoter to administer and promote competitions. The Promoter may also use the information to assist it in improving its goods and services and to contact you, including by electronic communication methods (including email and SMS) in the future with special offers and other promotions. The Promoter may share your PI with its Australian or New Zealand related companies who may use it to provide you with details of special offers. All PI collected by the Promoter will be dealt with under the Promoter’s privacy policy which can be viewed on www.pumpkinpatchkids.com or sent on request. The Promoter may also share your PI with other persons or entities for the purposes of administering and promoting competitions, the provision of prizes and to use it to provide you with details of special offers and other promotions. Personal information collected by the Sponsor for the purposes of the competition will only be used in connection with the competition. Entries will be stored at 439 East Tamaki Road, East Tamaki, Auckland, New Zealand. You have rights of access to, and the right to request correction of your personal information.
