CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1 Information regarding prizes and how to enter forms part of these conditions. By entering, entrants accept these conditions.

2 The Promoter encourages consumers to enjoy alcohol responsibly. Legal aged consumers are advised to consider the safe drinking levels recommended in the National Health and Medical Research Council Australian
Alcohol Guidelines. A full version of the Guidelines is available at http://www.alcoholguidelines.gov.au.

3 All publicly displayed advertising material for this competition will include a prominent message regarding responsible consumption of alcohol.

4 Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 or over who are financial members of Cabarita Beach Bowls & Sports Club. Except management and employees (and the immediate families of management and employees) of the Promoter, of the participating venues, or of the agencies or companies associated with this competition.

5 The competition begins on 09/12/2013 and closes at 6.30pm on 22/02/2014 (Competition Period).

6 During the Competition Period, this promotion will be conducted at Cabarita Beach Bowls & Sports Club. Entry and continued participation in this promotion is subject to the liquor serving policy of this venue. Responsible service of alcohol applies.

7 To enter, consumers must, during the Competition Period:
Purchase any product over the bar including non alcoholic beverages and food for on premise consumption and receive one entry ticket.
Purchase any product from the bottle shop spending a minimum of $5 for consumption off premise & receive an entry ticket for each $5 spent.
Members will receive one right of entry for every $5 or more spent on one Keno ticket during the promotional period. Maximum of one entry per ticket.
Members will receive 5 free entry tickets upon renewal of their membership or New membership.
Members will also receive an extra 5 free entry tickets when a valid e-mail address is supplied during the promotional period.
All members will need to fully complete the entry form and place it in the entry barrel.


8 Consumers may enter this promotion as many times as they wish, provided that each entry is based on a separate Eligible Purchase and a separate entry form. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, incorrectly submitted, delayed or illegible entries, claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, theft or destruction.

9 1st prize is a Quintrex 400 Explorer Trophy Boat. Inclusions: Mercury 30HP 2stroke Outboard Motor, Oceanic Galvanized Trailer, Two Tone Light Blue Painted Hull with Stripes, Electric Motor bracket, Smooth Water Safety Kit and registration for the boat and trailer.  Total value $10,980.
Insurance for the boat and trailer is the responsibility of the winner.

10 2nd prize is one of 10 x $100 runners up prizes.


11 There will be 11 Draw dates within the 11 week period for a member’s chance to win a key. The final day will have 11 Key winners, one of these will walk away with the boat, and the other 10 will receive $100 cash each.

12 The draws will be conducted via a barrel draw and the winner must be present to claim their prize. They will have 4 minutes to make themselves known to any staff member. A ticket will continue to be drawn until the prize is claimed.

The Final draw for the 11 winners will commence at 6:45pm on Saturday the 22nd February 2014. Each Winner will select an envelope. The order of envelope selection will be in the order they were drawn out. Each envelope will contain a key that will fit an anti-theft trailer lock. The key that opens the anti-theft trailer lock will determine the winner of the promotion.


12  The boat will need to be collected from Cabarita Beach Bowls and Sports Club at the winners own cost or make alternative delivery arrangements (at the winner’s cost) to receive delivery of the prize.

13 If a winning entry is deemed not to comply with these conditions of entry, the Promoter reserves the right to discard that entry and a new winner of that prize will be determined by drawing a further valid entry. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

15 The winners must, at the Promoter’s request, participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of any prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter using their name and image in promotional material.

16 The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).

17 Without limiting the previous paragraph, the Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any damage that occurs to prizes whilst they are displayed on premise at each participating Venue.

18 The winners will be notified immediately after the draw and will have their name advertised in the club foyer. By entering this competition, entrants request that their full address not be published.

19 The Promoter or participating Venue will require winners to provide proof of identity, proof of age and proof of membership. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter’s/Venue’s discretion.

20 The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify all entries from, and prohibit further participation in this competition by, any person who tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the competition or acts in violation of these conditions, acts in a disruptive manner or acts with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

21 The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. Where a prize is unavailable for any reason the Promoter may substitute for that prize another item of equal or higher value as determined by the Promoter, subject to the approval of the relevant gaming authorities, where required.

22 If for any reason any aspect of this competition is not capable of running as planned, including, but not limited to, by reason of tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition,
or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the approval of the relevant gaming authorities, where required.

23 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. Where the operation of this competition results in, for GST purposes, supplies being made for non‐monetary consideration, entrants agree to follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.

24 All entries will be the property of the Promoter. The information entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this competition. The Promoter may disclose entrants’ personal information to its contractors and agents to assist in conducting this competition or communicating with entrants. By entering, entrants consent to the storage of their personal information on the Promoter’s database and the Promoter may use this information for future promotional and marketing purposes regarding the Promoter’s
products including contacting the entrant via electronic messaging. By entering this competition, entrants consent to receiving SMS or email messages from the Promoter that do not contain any functional unsubscribe facility. The Promoter is bound by the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. Entrants can request access to the personal information the Promoter holds about them by contacting the Promoter at the address below.
