Refer a Friend Competition

Tell your friends about Handkrafted and you can both go into the draw to win $250 towards your next custom project through Handkrafted.

Simply share a link to Handkrafted via Facebook, Twitter or email and invite your friends to mention your username under the question ‘Where did you hear about us?’ when registering.

You’ll receive an additional entry in the draw for each friend that mentions your username during registration.

Competition ends on 31 March 2014 and the winner will be contacted within the following week.


Competition terms and conditions

1. The Promoter of this Competition is Handkrafted Pty Ltd ABN 51 166 700 803 of Level 1, 17-19 Bridge St, Sydney, New South Wales 2000, Australia (‘the Promoter’).

2. Entry to the Competition is free and is open to all Australian residents, subject to any limitations prescribed by these terms and conditions, and a person is entered into the Competition when either of the following situations occur;
(i) create a new Handkrafted account and include the Handkrafted username of their referrer on the registration form under the question ‘Where did you hear about us?’.
(ii) when a new Handkrafted account is created, their Handkrafted username is added as the referrer on the registration form under the question 'Where did you hear about us?'.
Entries must be received between Friday 31 January 2014 and Monday 31 March 2014. Employees of the Promoter, or any person associated with the Competition and their immediate families, or any organisation or individual associated with the provision of the prize are not eligible to enter.

3. Each entry must be entered in accordance with these terms and conditions. By entering the Competition, each entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions. The Promoter may in its absolute discretion refuse to award the prize to any entrant who fails to comply with these terms and conditions.

4. The Competition consists of one (1) prize draw for one (1) $250.00 credit towards their next custom purchase (noting this credit will expire three (3) months from the date of issue).

5. The total prize pool of the Competition is valued at $250.00 (including GST).

6. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value.

7. No component of the prize can be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash. In the event that the prize becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond the Promoter's control, the Promoter reserves the right to provide a similar product to the same or greater value as the original prize.

8. The Competition commences at 10:00am AEST Friday 31 January 2014 and closes at 5:00pm AEST on Monday 31 March 2014 ("Competition Period"). Any entry submitted outside the Competition Period will not be included in the Competition.

9. An entrant will receive an entry to the competition for each successful registration that includes their username on the application form under the question ‘Where did you hear about us?’ (noting that both the new registrant and referrer will gain an entry to the competition) . Incomplete, incorrect and indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.

10. The prize winner will be notified by email on on Friday 4 April 2014.

11. The prize draws will take place at 10am AEST on Thursday 3 April 2014 at Level 1, 17-19 Bridge St, Sydney, New South Wales 2000. One (1) winner will be drawn at random from the list of participants who successfully entered the Competition.

12. The prize winner will be contacted by email on the email address provided in the application.

13. In the event that a prize winner is unable to be contacted within 4 weeks from the close of the Competition, another prize winner will be drawn at random. This new prize winner will be drawn 10am AEST on Monday 28 April 2014 at Level 1, 17-19 Bridge St, Sydney, New South Wales 2000, and contacted by email. A winner of any unclaimed prize will be a prize winner for the purposes of these terms and conditions.

14. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for submitting an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions.

15. Decisions of the Promoter and its panel of judges are final and will be binding on each entrant and no correspondence will be entered into.

16. Each entrant warrants that:
a. any details provided with his/her entry are true and accurate;
b. he/she is at least 18 years of age;
c. he/she is an Australian resident;
d. he/she will comply with these terms and conditions; and
e. he/she will indemnify the Promoter against any loss or damage resulting from any breach of these warranties.

17. If there is any event that prevents or hinders the Promoter's conduct of the Competition or the Promoter's ability to deliver the prize to a prize winner of the Competition, the Promoter may, in its discretion, cancel the Competition and recommence it at another time under the same conditions or select other prize winners, subject to State regulations.

18. To the full extent permitted by the law, the Promoter will not be liable for any injury, damages, expenses, or loss whatsoever (whether direct or consequential) to persons or property as a result of any person entering into the Competition or accepting or using the prize, including without limitation non-receipt of the prize or damage to the prize in transit. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications of winning the prize.
