Sony Mobile Communications AB (the Promoter) is conducting an online video competition known as "WE ARE ONE SONY" (Competition) accessible through http://football.sony.net/en/, www.weareonesony.com and Sony Mobile Facebook pages for Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand, and Sony Vietnam's Facebook page.
Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Submission of an entry into this competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Entry is via Internet only.
To be eligible for the competition, the entrant must be a resident of Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, or Vietnam over the age of eighteen (18), with a registered YouTube Account, which can be created for the purpose of this contest.
No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.
The competition will be held across four Competition Stages. The stages run from:

To enter, entrants must upload a video to the entrant's registered YouTube Account by 24 April 2014 11:59am (UTC+8) with the title "WE ARE ONE: SONY 2014 FIFA WORLD CUP (YOUR COUNTRY) ENTRY". (e.g. WE ARE ONE: SONY 2014 FIFA WORLD CUP SINGAPORE ENTRY)
There is no restriction on the number of submissions. However, only one winning submission will be allowed per YouTube account.
The video must not exceed a maximum of 30 seconds duration and must display the manner in which football brings people closer together.
Each entry will be individually judged by a panel of appropriately qualified judges based on creative merit of the video entries. Judging will be based upon originality and creativity of the entries. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
There will be two rounds of public voting for National Champions and Regional Champions during the Online Voting stage. Videos with the most number of votes on "WE ARE ONE SONY" microsite and Facebook applications will be the winners for each round of voting.
The prizes for the four Competition Stages are as followed:

Prizes are not just limited to those who submit entries - voters who comment on the video explaining why the video they vote for should win the final prizes, could also win outstanding prizes in each voting period.
Voters with the most creative comments will be selected as the winners. Each comment entry will be individually judged by a panel of appropriately qualified judges based on creative merit of the comment entries. Judging will be based upon originality and creativity of the entries. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The prize cannot be redeemed for cash or used in conjunction with any other competition offer. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable. This prize must be taken as offered and cannot be varied. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value.
Winners will be announced via Sony Mobile (and Sony Vietnam) Facebook pages on 23 May 2014 and entrants must ensure settings on their YouTube account allow for direct messaging between accounts. The setting is controlled via the 'Privacy' function, though as a default it is enabled. The voters who win the prizes will be contacted by the Promoter via their Facebook emails. This is the manner in which the Promoter will initially contact winners and request to provide their contact number and address details via YouTube direct messages. This will confirm your acceptance of the prize.
It is the Entrant's and the winner's responsibility to provide these details to the Promoter by 3:00pm (UTC+8) 23 May 2014 (Friday). If the winner does not contact the Promoter by the date, another winner will be selected and notified.
All entries submitted become the property of the Promoter. As a condition of entering into this competition, each Entrant agrees to assign all of his or her rights, title and interest (including copyright) in and to their entry to the Promoter. Each Entrant warrants to the Promoter that each entry submitted is an original work of the Entrant that does not infringe the rights of any third party. Each Entrant also warrants to the Promoter that they have the authority and all permissions necessary to submit their entry into the competition, including but not limited to obtaining any required written consents and releases to reference or identify any third party in their entry (if applicable). The Entrant agrees to indemnify the Promoter against all costs and claims by third parties arising from a breach of any of these warranties. Entrants consent to any use of their entry, which may otherwise infringe their moral rights pursuant to the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).
As a condition of entering this competition, an Entrant consents to the Promoter publishing the Entrant's name on the Promoter's Facebook page.
If this competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the competition, and/or, if necessary, to provide an alternative prize or prizes to the same value as an original prize or prizes.
Entries which are in breach of Copyright laws and guidelines contained within YouTube's Terms and Conditions will be disqualified, e.g., videos containing commercial music without all required performance and other rights clearances. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the Promoter's sole discretion, is considered to be offensive or inappropriate in any way (including any objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements) or that the Promoter considers, may infringe any intellectual property rights or other rights of any person, corporation or entity. This includes, but is not limited to, any entry which the Promoter considers to be disparaging to its products and/or services.
Entries must be in a format accepted by YouTube. For further information on the format of videos that may be uploaded to YouTube, visit http://help.youtube.com. A resolution of 720 x 576 mini HD is recommended.
Any attempt, deliberate or otherwise, to cause malicious damage or interference with the normal functioning of the Facebook Page and/or competition or the information on the Facebook Page and/or entry email, or to otherwise undermine the legitimate operation of this competition may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and, should such an attempt be made, whether successful or not, the Promoter reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. If the Promoter suffers loss or incurs any costs in connection with any breach of these Terms and Conditions or any other legal obligation by an Entrant, the Entrant agrees to indemnify the Promoter for those losses, damages and costs.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury or death, or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the competition, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or Entrant; (f) the acceptance or use of a prize; and (g) any act or omission of the Promoter or its associated agencies.
An entry and any copyright subsisting in an entry irrevocably becomes, at time of entry, the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the competition, to include the Entrant in the competition and, where appropriate, award prizes. The Promoter may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including, but not limited to, prize suppliers, to assist in conducting the competition. If the personal information requested is not provided, the Entrant cannot participate in the competition and is deemed ineligible. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All personal information will be stored at the office of the Promoter. A copy of the Promoter's Privacy Policy in relation to the treatment of personal information collected may be obtained by contacting the Promoter.
By entering into the Competition you are agreeing to the Rules and you agree to comply with the YouTube Website Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.
The Promoter reserves the right to change the prizes without any prior notice.
These terms and conditions may be amended, deleted or added to from time to time at the discretion of the Promoter.
