APIA’S $25K ULTIMATE MUSIC, FOOD AND WINE EXPERIENCE COMPETITION

PARTICIPATION
This competition (“Competition”) is conducted by Australian Pensioners Insurance Agency Pty Limited (“APIA”) (“the Promoter”) ABN: 14 099 650 996 of Level 18 Suncorp Centre, 36 Wickham Terrace, Brisbane, Queensland 4000. Please direct all postal correspondence in relation to this Competition to 530 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000, or if you’d like to speak to the promoter, call (03) 8681 9608.
Entry into the Competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Entry (“Conditions”). All entry instructions and prize information published by the Promoter forms part of these Conditions.
The Competition is only open to individuals who: (i) are residents of Australia aged 18 years or older as at time of entry; and (ii) are not employees of the Promoter or any of its related corporations or any of their agencies associated with the Competition; and (iii) are not a spouse, defacto spouse, parent, child or sibling (whether natural or by adoption) of such an employee.
Competition entry commences at 12:01pm (AEDT) on 28/02/2014 and closes at 11.59am (AEDT) on 04/04/2014 (“Competition Period”).
Except as otherwise indicated, all references to “$” or dollar amounts in this Competition or these Conditions are a reference to Australian dollars and stated exclusive of GST.

ENTRY
To obtain an entry into the Competition, an Eligible Entrant must during the Competition Period, complete and return to the Promoter the entry form particular to this Competition (Entry Form), that includes at minimum his or her first and last name, post code, email address and in the case of an Eligible Entrant who holds a current insurance policy/policies with APIA their policy number(s).

An Entry Form can be:
completed and submitted by Eligible Entrants online:
at www.insurancepromotions.com.au/apia/foodwinemusic in the case of an Eligible Entrant who does not hold any current insurance policies with APIA; or
at www.apia.com.au/goodtimes in the case of an Eligible Entrant who holds a current insurance policy/policies with APIA; or
in the case of an Eligible Entrant who receives an invitation to enter the Competition via a third party such as eBay, AusPost or WebJet, by confirming their details as captured by the third party and by the Eligible Entrant providing the insurance renewal date to the third party, which details will then be transmitted to the Promoter;
completed and submitted by Eligible Entrants in person using the specially marked Entry Form at APIA branch(es) or APIA community events promoting this Competition ;
completed using the specially marked Entry Form received from the Promoter and submitted using the Reply Paid Envelope supplied (“Reply paid 3081, South Melbourne VIC 3205”) by the Promoter; or
completed and submitted over the telephone by calling and speaking with a representative of the Promoter on 13 50 50 (call costs apply) or as part of its outbound call campaign conducted by the Promoter (or any of its agents).
An Eligible Entrant will receive a maximum of one (1) entry into the Competition notwithstanding he or she has submitted more than one Entry Form in accordance with paragraphs 6 (i), (ii), (iii) or (iv). Where an Eligible Entrant has submitted more than one Entry Form, the Promoter will only have regard to the first valid entry received via paragraphs 6(i), (ii), (iii) or (iv).
All Eligible Entrants must ensure the Promoter receives their Entry Form during the Competition Period. Valid and conforming Entry Forms will be deemed accepted at the time of receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of submission via one of the methods set out in paragraphs 6(i), (ii), (iii) or (iv) by the Eligible Entrant. The Promoter takes no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, illegible or misdirected entries or for any delays or failures in any telecommunications service, postal service or equipment. Incorrect contact details in an Entry Form may result in the entry being invalidated (at the Promoters absolute discretion).
Eligible Entrants must complete and submit his or her Entry Form personally in accordance with the entry methods set out in paragraph 6 of these Conditions. In the case of Entry Forms completed and submitted through the Competition Website the Promoter reserves the right to reject any Entry Form that it reasonably believes was completed by an automated service.
The Promoter may, at its absolute discretion, declare any or all entries invalid if it learns that any aspect of the Competition has been tampered with.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of any information provided by an Eligible Entrant in each Entry Form (including but not limited to information about the Eligible Entrant’s identity, eligibility, age and postcode) and to disqualify any Eligible Entrant and his or her Entry Form that does not comply with all of these Conditions.
Cost of entry via the internet is free, but internet connection, internet usage rates and telephone call charges may apply. Costs associated with accessing the Competition Website are the responsibility of an Eligible Entrant and may vary depending on their internet service provider. All entrants should obtain details of such costs from their internet and telephone service providers prior to entering this Competition.
Telephone calls made by an Eligible Entrant from public or mobiles telephones may incur additional charges and at rates higher than those of a standard fix line telephone. All telephone fees and charges incurred by an Eligible Entrant in relation to or in connection with this Competition are the responsibility of the Eligible Entrant.
Entry Forms submitted by post must be the original. Photocopies or reproductions of an Entry Form are not valid entries that comply with these Conditions and will be deemed invalid and discarded if received by the Promoter.

COMPETITION PRIZE
The Prize for this Competition is valued up to $27,412 inc GST as at 22/01/2014 and is comprised of:
Four economy airfares, inclusive of taxes, from the Prize Winner’s nearest Australian capital city to Brisbane, Australia for the Prize Winner and 3 travel companions.
Transfers included, but limited to:
Return Brisbane airport to Brisbane hotel; Business Van/SUV eg: VW Multivan
Return Brisbane hotel to Brisbane restaurant: business van/SUV eg: VW Multivan

Four platinum passes to the International Food and Wine festival in Noosa valid for four (4) days: Thursday 15th May 2014 – Sunday 18th May 2014 (inclusive). However, the winner will only be able to attend three days: Friday 16th May 2014 – Sunday 18th May 2014 as the Apia Good Times concert is held in Brisbane on Thursday 15th May 2014.

All management of Prize redemption (including reservations, communication and documentation) will be facilitated by Conserv Pty Ltd, trading as Arid Zone (Arid Zone) for and on behalf of the Promoter.

TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION CONDITIONS
All travel and accommodation is subject to availability at all times and maybe dependent on select seat class with airlines or specific room category availability with accommodation partners.
Vouchers and tickets are not redeemable for cash or cash products ie, Travelex, foreign currency etc. All bookings and documentation regarding the Prize or component of a Prize must be made via Arid Zone or their agents.
It is the Prize Winner's responsibility to organise transport to/from the airport departure/return point. The Prize winner and travel companions must have valid travel insurance for their period of travel.
Any travel companions of the Prize Winner under the age of 18 years, must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
The Prize Winner is responsible for any variation or amendments fees imposed by airlines, helicopter and other Prize suppliers once a booking is confirmed and ticketed. Additional spending money, travel expenses, meals (other than those included) and any other ancillary costs, including but not limited to insurance and any applicable insurance excesses, not listed in the travel prize package descriptions above are the responsibility of the travel prize winner and his/her nominated traveling companions as incurred.
The Prize is not refundable or transferable and no portion of the Prize is redeemable or transferable for cash, money or financial products such as stored value cards.
Redeeming the Prize is conditional on the Prize Winner and each travel companion accepting all terms and conditions detailed by Arid Zone, airline carriers, Skypac Aviation and hotel operators. Please note the following special conditions applicable to helicopter transfer provided Skypac Aviation: (i) the requirement that the Prize Winner inform Arid Zone of the approximate weight of each passenger prior to flight (combined weight of passengers and baggage limited to 500 kilograms).; (ii) the ability of Skypac Aviation to cancel, postpone or delay flights if weather conditions prevent flying.; and (iii) that all flight times advised by Skypac Aviation are approximate and actual flight times will vary based on wind and air traffic conditions.
The winner of the Prize for this Competition will be selected by the first Entry Form randomly drawn from all valid entries received by the Promoter in conformance with these Conditions (Winner).
The draw will occur at 12:01pm (AEDT) on 09/04/2014 at Contact Management Associates (VIC) Pty Ltd, 92-94 Tope Street, South Melbourne VIC 3205 (Competition Administrator).
The Winner of this Competition will be notified in writing within two days of the draw via the email address provided in their entry. The winner will also be contacted by phone if a telephone number is provided in their Entry Form. The Winner’s name and postcode will be published in The Australian newspaper on 17/04/2014.
Subject to any written directions given under applicable State or Territory legislation, the Promoter may determine to conduct a redraw on 24/04/2014 at the same time and place as the original draw in order to award the Prize to another Eligible Entrant if the Prize has not been claimed by the winner within 15 days of the date of the draw in paragraph 25 (Unclaimed Prize Draw).
The winner of the Unclaimed Prize Draw will be notified by telephone and/or writing and have his or her name as well as their postcode published in The Australian newspaper on 30/04/2014.
If the Prize or an element of the Prize becomes unavailable, for any reason beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, then an alternative Prize of comparable Prize or greater value to the Prize will be awarded by the Promoter in lieu, subject to any written directions made under applicable State or Territory legislation.
It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the winner (if any) may be required to sign a legal release or releases in a form determined by the Promoter (in its absolute discretion) to enable the Promoter or its nominee to promote the Competition or the Prize winner.

GENERAL
If for any reason the conduct or operation of the Competition is interfered with or disrupted in any way (including by vandalism, power failures, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes, computer bugs or viruses, tampering or technical failures), the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend or recommence the Competition, subject to the approval of the authorities that have issued permits for its conduct.
The Promoter assumes no responsibility for: (i) any error, omission, interruption, or delay in the operation or transmission of any communication sent to (or by) the Promoter or any Eligible Entrant whether caused by problems with communication networks or lines, computer systems, software or internet service providers, congestion on any carrier network or otherwise, (ii) any theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of such communications; (iii) any problem with, or technical malfunction of, any computer system or other equipment used for the conduct of the Competition; (iv) any incorrect or incomplete information which may be communicated in the course of the administering this Competition (whether as a result of one of the foregoing causes or otherwise); (v) any delay in delivery, or failure of safe delivery of the Prize.
All of the Promoter's decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Delay or failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights in these Conditions at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
The Prize Winner consents to the Promoter or Arid Zone using their name, likeness, image and/or voice (including any photograph, film and/or recording of them) in any media at any time or times without compensation, financial or otherwise, for the purpose of promoting this Competition on the terms of these Conditions.
All Entry Forms become the property of the Promoter and information contained therein (including any copyright that might subsist in that information) becomes the property of the Promoter.

PRIVACY STATEMENT AND MARKETING CONSENT
Eligible Entrants’ personal information is collected from entrants by or on behalf of the Promoter to enable the Promoter and its agents to manage, administer and promote the Competition and, where applicable, publicise the Winner. The personal information may also be provided to persons assisting the Promoter, including prize suppliers and deliverers, marketing agencies and IT providers, and to gaming authorities, media outlets and related companies, for the purposes of carrying out planning, product development, designing future promotional campaigns and providing insurance quotations where requested by an Eligible Entrant in an Entry Form.
Each Eligible Entrant agrees that it is a condition of entry into this Competition that they must consent to being contacted by the Promoter (by any means, including by email) for the duration of the Competition Period. This is required to ensure that the Competition entries are properly recorded, processed and so that the winner can be drawn. The personal information of the Prize winner may be provided to others assisting in the conduct of the Competition, including the Competition administrator, Prize suppliers and deliverers, and to regulatory authorities if requested.
The Promoter will disclose the Prize Wiinner's first initial, surname and State/Territory of residence to The Australian newspaper for publication.
If an Eligible Entrant does not provide all personal information the Promoter requests in the Entry Form, the Promoter may not be able to enter them into the Competition. All personal information is handled in accordance with these conditions and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy. Information about how to access or correct the personal information that the Promoter holds about you, or complain, can be found in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy available online at http://www.apia.com.au/website-terms-and-privacy or www.apia.com.au/privacy
If an entrant has marked the “opt-in” box on the entry form, the Eligible Entrant also consents to the retention of their personal information so that the Promoter and any related companies that use the Apia brand may use this information from time to time to let the entrant know about news, offers, products and services they might be interested in (by any medium, including telephone, email, mail, SMS or online marketing). Entrants may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using information contained in a marketing message, by calling 13 50 50 or in writing to the Promoter at the postal address in condition 1.
If in an Entry Form an Eligible Entrant requests future contact from the Promoter and/or its related entity Suncorp Life & Superannuation Limited ABN 87 073 979 539 AFSL 229880 (Suncorp Life), by completing the required information on the Entry Form, the Eligible Entrant understands and agrees that the Promoter will store their personal information on the Promoter’s database and disclose their personal information to its related entity Suncorp Life so that Suncorp Life and the Promoter can use this information for the further primary purpose of contacting the entrant at a later date(by any permitted means including telephone, email, mail or SMS) to provide an insurance renewal quote or to market products and services offered by Suncorp Life.
Each Eligible Entrant completely releases Facebook from any and all liability in relation to this Competition, and acknowledges that this Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Eligible Entrants understand that they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Facebook.

Economy airfares, inclusive of taxes, from Noosa to the Prize Winner’s nearest Australian capital city for the Prize Winner and three travel companions.

All management of Prize redemption (including reservations, communication and documentation) will be facilitated by Conserv Pty Ltd, trading as Arid Zone (Arid Zone) for and on behalf of the Promoter.

TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION CONDITIONS
All travel and accommodation is subject to availability at all times and maybe dependent on select seat class with airlines or specific room category availability with accommodation partners.
Vouchers and tickets are not redeemable for cash or cash products ie, Travelex, foreign currency etc. All bookings and documentation regarding the Prize or component of a Prize must be made via Arid Zone or their agents.
It is the Prize Winner's responsibility to organise transport to/from the airport departure/return point. The Prize winner and travel companions must have valid travel insurance for their period of travel.
Any travel companions of the Prize Winner under the age of 18 years, must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
The Prize Winner is responsible for any variation or amendments fees imposed by airlines, helicopter and other Prize suppliers once a booking is confirmed and ticketed. Additional spending money, travel expenses, meals (other than those included) and any other ancillary costs, including but not limited to insurance and any applicable insurance excesses, not listed in the travel prize package descriptions above are the responsibility of the travel prize winner and his/her nominated traveling companions as incurred.
The Prize is not refundable or transferable and no portion of the Prize is redeemable or transferable for cash, money or financial products such as stored value cards.
Redeeming the Prize is conditional on the Prize Winner and each travel companion accepting all terms and conditions detailed by Arid Zone, airline carriers, Skypac Aviation and hotel operators. Please note the following special conditions applicable to helicopter transfer provided Skypac Aviation: (i) the requirement that the Prize Winner inform Arid Zone of the approximate weight of each passenger prior to flight (combined weight of passengers and baggage limited to 500 kilograms).; (ii) the ability of Skypac Aviation to cancel, postpone or delay flights if weather conditions prevent flying.; and (iii) that all flight times advised by Skypac Aviation are approximate and actual flight times will vary based on wind and air traffic conditions.
The winner of the Prize for this Competition will be selected by the first Entry Form randomly drawn from all valid entries received by the Promoter in conformance with these Conditions (Winner).
The draw will occur at 12:01pm (AEDT) on 09/04/2014 at Contact Management Associates (VIC) Pty Ltd, 92-94 Tope Street, South Melbourne VIC 3205 (Competition Administrator).
The Winner of this Competition will be notified in writing within two days of the draw via the email address provided in their entry. The winner will also be contacted by phone if a telephone number is provided in their Entry Form. The Winner’s name and postcode will be published in The Australian newspaper on 17/04/2014.
Subject to any written directions given under applicable State or Territory legislation, the Promoter may determine to conduct a redraw on 24/04/2014 at the same time and place as the original draw in order to award the Prize to another Eligible Entrant if the Prize has not been claimed by the winner within 15 days of the date of the draw in paragraph 25 (Unclaimed Prize Draw).
The winner of the Unclaimed Prize Draw will be notified by telephone and/or writing and have his or her name as well as their postcode published in The Australian newspaper on 30/04/2014.
If the Prize or an element of the Prize becomes unavailable, for any reason beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, then an alternative Prize of comparable Prize or greater value to the Prize will be awarded by the Promoter in lieu, subject to any written directions made under applicable State or Territory legislation.
It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the winner (if any) may be required to sign a legal release or releases in a form determined by the Promoter (in its absolute discretion) to enable the Promoter or its nominee to promote the Competition or the Prize winner.

GENERAL
If for any reason the conduct or operation of the Competition is interfered with or disrupted in any way (including by vandalism, power failures, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes, computer bugs or viruses, tampering or technical failures), the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend or recommence the Competition, subject to the approval of the authorities that have issued permits for its conduct.
The Promoter assumes no responsibility for: (i) any error, omission, interruption, or delay in the operation or transmission of any communication sent to (or by) the Promoter or any Eligible Entrant whether caused by problems with communication networks or lines, computer systems, software or internet service providers, congestion on any carrier network or otherwise, (ii) any theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of such communications; (iii) any problem with, or technical malfunction of, any computer system or other equipment used for the conduct of the Competition; (iv) any incorrect or incomplete information which may be communicated in the course of the administering this Competition (whether as a result of one of the foregoing causes or otherwise); (v) any delay in delivery, or failure of safe delivery of the Prize.
All of the Promoter's decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Delay or failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights in these Conditions at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
The Prize Winner consents to the Promoter or Arid Zone using their name, likeness, image and/or voice (including any photograph, film and/or recording of them) in any media at any time or times without compensation, financial or otherwise, for the purpose of promoting this Competition on the terms of these Conditions.
All Entry Forms become the property of the Promoter and information contained therein (including any copyright that might subsist in that information) becomes the property of the Promoter.

PRIVACY STATEMENT AND MARKETING CONSENT
Eligible Entrants’ personal information is collected from entrants by or on behalf of the Promoter to enable the Promoter and its agents to manage, administer and promote the Competition and, where applicable, publicise the Winner. The personal information may also be provided to persons assisting the Promoter, including prize suppliers and deliverers, marketing agencies and IT providers, and to gaming authorities, media outlets and related companies, for the purposes of carrying out planning, product development, designing future promotional campaigns and providing insurance quotations where requested by an Eligible Entrant in an Entry Form.
Each Eligible Entrant agrees that it is a condition of entry into this Competition that they must consent to being contacted by the Promoter (by any means, including by email) for the duration of the Competition Period. This is required to ensure that the Competition entries are properly recorded, processed and so that the winner can be drawn. The personal information of the Prize winner may be provided to others assisting in the conduct of the Competition, including the Competition administrator, Prize suppliers and deliverers, and to regulatory authorities if requested.
The Promoter will disclose the Prize Wiinner's first initial, surname and State/Territory of residence to The Australian newspaper for publication.
If an Eligible Entrant does not provide all personal information the Promoter requests in the Entry Form, the Promoter may not be able to enter them into the Competition. All personal information is handled in accordance with these conditions and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy. Information about how to access or correct the personal information that the Promoter holds about you, or complain, can be found in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy available online at http://www.apia.com.au/website-terms-and-privacy or www.apia.com.au/privacy
If an entrant has marked the “opt-in” box on the entry form, the Eligible Entrant also consents to the retention of their personal information so that the Promoter and any related companies that use the Apia brand may use this information from time to time to let the entrant know about news, offers, products and services they might be interested in (by any medium, including telephone, email, mail, SMS or online marketing). Entrants may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using information contained in a marketing message, by calling 13 50 50 or in writing to the Promoter at the postal address in condition 1.
If in an Entry Form an Eligible Entrant requests future contact from the Promoter and/or its related entity Suncorp Life & Superannuation Limited ABN 87 073 979 539 AFSL 229880 (Suncorp Life), by completing the required information on the Entry Form, the Eligible Entrant understands and agrees that the Promoter will store their personal information on the Promoter’s database and disclose their personal information to its related entity Suncorp Life so that Suncorp Life and the Promoter can use this information for the further primary purpose of contacting the entrant at a later date(by any permitted means including telephone, email, mail or SMS) to provide an insurance renewal quote or to market products and services offered by Suncorp Life.
Each Eligible Entrant completely releases Facebook from any and all liability in relation to this Competition, and acknowledges that this Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Eligible Entrants understand that they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Facebook.
