Terms and Conditions: Win a holiday for 2 in China

1.    Information on how to enter and prize details form part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering the competition, participants accept these Terms and Conditions. 

2.    The competition is known as “Win a holiday for 2 in China”. 

3.    Entry is open to all residents of Australia aged 18 years and above. The entrant must enter online and agree to receive email information from the Promoter www.zuji.com.au. The entrant’s entry will be deemed void and ineligible where it does not comply with any of these Terms and Conditions. Federal, state and local laws and regulations may be applicable. Officers, employees and immediate families of the promoter, ZUJI, companies within the ZUJI group and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.  Entrants are required to provide their first name, surname, email and state. This information is used to communicate and manage ZUJI Pty Ltd.’s relationship with the entrant, including direct marketing


4.    The competition runs from Sunday 8 June 2014 until Sunday 22 June 2014.

5.    The closing date of entries is Sunday 22 June 2014 11:59 pm (AEST).

6.    To enter the draw, entrants must register their entry by answering the following question in 25 words of less: Why do you want to tick China off your bucket list?

7.    The prize will be awarded to the best valid entry, as determined by the judges ZUJI Pty Ltd staff. Entries will be judged on creativity and originality and chance play no part in this competition. 

8.    The decision of the Promoter or its officers, employees, agents or representatives on all disputes or queries regarding this contest is final and no correspondence will be entertained.

9.    The draw will be conducted on Monday 23 June 2014 in New South Wales, Australia, Level 13, 135 King Street, Sydney. Draw time is 2:00 pm (AEST). 

10.    The Promoter in its sole discretion, reserves the right to modify the rules and terms, make prize substitutions or cancel this competition without notice in accordance to state legislation.  The Promoter is not responsible for lost, late or incomplete entries, howsoever caused, or for entries received after the deadline as a consequence of internet service delays, interruptions, failures or overloads.

11.    The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or any of the Promoter’s websites (“Websites”), in violation of the Terms of Use of the Web sites, or acting in violation of these Terms and Conditions.  The Promoter reserves the right to pursue legal action against any individual it believes has undertaken fraudulent activities or other activities harmful to this contest or the Web sites.

12.    The Promoter does not make any warranties or representations whatsoever regarding the prize and does not accept any responsibilities therefore.  The entrant agrees that the Promoter is not responsible or liable for any costs, damages, claims, demands or liability incurred by the entrant or any third party relating to or resulting from this contest, including but not limited to injury or damage to an entrant’s or third person’s computer.

13.    In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person who submitted an online entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorised account holder of the email account.

14.    The winning prize, a holiday for two people includes:
- 2 x return economy flights with China Eastern Airlines to either Shanghai or Beijing
- 1 x $500 ZUJI accommodation voucher

15.    All other meals, visas, spending money, transfers to and from departure and arrival points, taxes, insurance, vaccination and all other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner (and his or her companion). For the avoidance of doubt, the Promoter is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any item, service, cost, claims or matter not expressly stated to be included in the prize, howsoever the same may arise.

16.    Flight bookings must be made by Friday 1 August 2014.

17.    The trip must be taken between 1 August - 20 September 2014  (departing dates must be between 1-31 August 2014 and return dates must be between 11 August - 20 September 2014) and all travel must be completed by 20 September 2014. The winner (and his/her companions) must go on the trip between these dates and there will be no changes for check-in dates.

18.    Prizes are subject to the terms and conditions of participating service providers or any other terms and conditions that may be notified from time to time. 

19.    Travel is not permitted in peak or public holiday periods i.e. School Holidays, Easter, Christmas and blackout periods apply.

20.    Frequent Flyer miles are not applicable, baggage allowance is reflected on winners’ e‐ticket.

21.    The airline ticket cannot be transferred to another person, nor upgraded, nor exchanged or sold for cash.

22.    Passengers must travel together throughout the entire journey.

23.    Please ensure that your passport has a minimum validity of six months before travelling.

24.    If the prize winners do not depart by 31 August 2014, the prize will be forfeited. The prize is not redeemable for cash or any other item, neither exchangeable nor transferable.

25.    Once the prize has been booked no cancellation or amendments can be made, except at the winners own expense, if applicable.

26.    Once flights have been booked and flight tickets are issued the winner is responsible for any costs associated with subsequent itinerary changes, cancellations, amendments or other administration charges.

27.    By entering, the entrant agrees that the Promoter, its parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective officers, directors, and employees shall not be liable for injury, loss, or damage of any kind resulting from participating in this promotion or from the acceptance or use/misuse of the prize awarded (including any travel related thereto).  This includes, without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.

28.    By entering, the entrant further agrees that the Promoter may use any information collected in respect of the entrant, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes (including to advise the entrant of special sales, specific promotional events and other special offers) without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant, including sending the entrant electronic messages. Each entrant’s personal information may be disclosed to state and territory government and regulatory bodies. The information will otherwise not be shared with any other organisation. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter at their address set out below.

29.    No responsibility is taken for any variation in the value of the prize.

30.    The winner will be notified by e-mail on Monday 23 June 2014.

31.    The winner’s name will be published on www.zuji.com.au by Wednesday 25 June 2014. The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity and proof of residency. The Promoter further reserves the right to determine whether the identification provided by the winner is suitable for verification.

32.    The Promoter will not be responsible for and will not be liable for any late, misdirected, lost or unsuccessful efforts to notify the winner.  The Promoter will also not be responsible for any act, omission, failure or delay by the Promoter arising from an act of God, riots, acts of terrorism, labour or industrial dispute, any strike, and natural disaster, which are not reasonably within the control of the Promoter.

33.    In accepting the prize, the winners and his or her companions may be subject to applicable laws or regulations and, prior to the acceptance of the prize, is advised to seek independent advice including but not limited to legal, financial and tax advice.  If the prize is not claimed within two (2) weeks from the draw date, a second draw will be conducted at Level 13, 135 King Street, Sydney on Monday  7 July, 2:00pm (AEST).

34.    The second draw winner will be notified by e-mail and phone on Tuesday 8 July 2014.

35.    The second draw winner’s name will be published on www.zuji.com.au by Wednesday 9 July 2014. The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity and proof of residency. The Promoter further reserves the right to determine whether the identification provided by the winner is suitable for verification.

36.    All entries become the sole property of the Promoter and may be used for promotional purposes.  The winner agrees to participate in any publicity arrangements made by or on the behalf of the Promoter in accepting the prize. The winner further agrees that the Promoter reserves the right to publicise their names, addresses and photographs in respect of this competition without any payment being made to them.
