I'm not sure about #1

I thought it was George Bernard Shaw but then found this:

George Bernard Shaw. Nobel Prize for Lierature in 1925 and an Oscar for Pygmalion in 1938.

Al Gore. Nobel Peace Prize and an Oscar for "An Inconvenient Truth", both in 2007.

I would go with the earlier answer; the quiz that the quizmaster cribbed this question from obviously was published before 2007. Anyway, Al Gore doesn't deserve either a Nobel Peace Prize or an Oscar... Wink

Plus, according to imdb, http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0330722/awards?ref_=nm_awd, Gore did not win an Oscar when "An Inconvenient Truth" won for Best Documentary.

As has become customary over the last few quizes, I post the questions when they appear (usually from the NZ Stack site) to give people plenty of time to research the answers, and add the Australian link when it is posted, generally three or four days later.

Q9 is NOT "Star Trek into Darkness" - the title card for that one appears about 9 1/2 minutes in.
