About the Magellan Cyclo 505

The Magellan Cyclo 505 Series has been designed to take you off the main roads and navigate you onto safer bike friendly roads, paths and tracks. Visit the website to view more product features.

The Competition will run from 1 July until 31 July 2014.

To enter, participants are required to tag their photo with #sydneyrides #spectacularsydney.

Judges are looking for a photo that best captures the joy and experience of bike riding in Sydney.

Following the end of the Competition period 10 finalists will be selected. From these, 1 winner will be selected.

The finalists and winning photo is subject to selection by the Selection and Judges Panel (“the Panel”). The decision of the Panel is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The finalists will be announced on Friday 8 August 2014 and the winner will be announced on Friday 15 August 2014.

#sydneyrides INSTAGRAM TERMS & CONDITIONS

All information on how to enter this Competition forms part of these terms and conditions.  Entry into this Competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

This Competition is run by the Council of the City of Sydney (“the City”) ABN: 22 636 550 790 of 456 Kent Street, Sydney NSW 2000.

The City reserves the right at any time to disqualify any individual who the City reasonably believes has breached any of the terms and conditions or engaged in any unlawful or other improper conduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Competition

1.1 You must post your image (“the Image”) on Instagram with the #sydneyrides and #spectacularsydney hashtags no later than 12am (midnight) on Thursday 31 July 2014.

1.2 You must post your image or tag an existing image #sydneyrides #spectacularsydney on your Instagram account before 31 July 2014.

1.3 Meet the specifications as set out in this document.

1.4 Finalists and the overall winner will be notified through Instagram and/or email by a representative of City of Sydney.

1.5 The entrant must be an Australian citizen, or have permanent resident status in Australia.

2. Prize

2.1 If your entry is judged the most outstanding by the Selection and Judges Panel (“the Panel”), you will be awarded the #sydneyrides Instagram Prize (“the Prize”), a Magellen Cyclo 505 bicycle computer valued at $399.

2.2If the winner does not accept the prize by Friday 29 August 2014 then the prize will be forfeited by the winner and no further prize will be awarded to another entrant.

3. Copyright and Moral Rights

You grant the City the right to:

3.1 Maintain a digital copy of the Image

3.2 Reproduce the Image on the City of Sydney website, SydneyCycleways website and City of Sydney and SydneyCycleways social media channels.

3.3 You warrant that you are the owner of all intellectual property rights in the Image or have obtained all necessary approvals to permit the use of the Image in the Competition.  Image that infringes intellectual property rights will be immediately removed from the Competition.  You agree to indemnify the City against any costs that the City may incur as a result of any intellectual property rights infringement.

3.4 The City and any sponsor or partner of the Competition may reproduce the Image (or any part of it) in any media format, including but not limited to advertisements, postcards, brochures, posters, television/print media, website and annual reports, only for the purposes of:

3.5 Publicity and promotion of the Competition.

3.6 The catalogue of the event, in current or future years.

3.7 Creating a non-commercial archive of the Competition.

3.8 The City will acknowledge you in all publicity as the creator of the Image.

4. Promotion

4.1 You acknowledge and agree that a SydneyCycleways sponsor or partner may reproduce the Image for the purpose of promoting the SydneyCycleways program. All reproductions will acknowledge the entrant and be subject to approval by the entrant.

5. General

5.1 Employees of the City of Sydney and their immediate families are ineligible to enter the Competition.

5.2 The City may cancel or vary the Competition at any time.  The City will not be responsible for any loss or costs incurred by you in relation to such cancellation or variation.

5.3 By entering this Competition, you release the City from, and indemnify the City against all liability, loss, damage or injury arising from or in connection with this Competition or the prize.

5.4 This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered or associated with Instagram.

PRIVACY PROTECTION NOTICE

Purpose of collection: The City of Sydney is collecting personal information of individuals submitting an entry in the #sydneyrides Instagram Competition in order to enable the City of Sydney to select finalists and winner for the Competition.

Intended recipients: City of Sydney staff

Supply: While the supply of personal information is voluntary, the information provided will enable your participation in the Competition.

Access/ Correction: Your personal information may be accessed by you and the City of Sydney.  A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the City of Sydney at 456 Kent Street, Sydney.

Storage: The personal information collected will be stored by the City of Sydney for the purposes indicated above.
