From riveting, political documentaries to hot-blooded romance, from rollicking comedies to sensitive dramas, the AICE Israeli Film Festival presents the best of contemporary Israeli cinema to Australian audiences. Diverse, complex, inspirational, and turbulent, the films screening at the national festival present a kaleidoscope of Israeli society, exploring myriad stories from one of the most diverse and multi-racial countries in the world.

Highlights in this year’s program include Camera d’Or winner Shira Geffen’s Self Made (pictured), which follows an Israeli and a Palestinian woman who find themselves living life on the other side after a mix-up at the border; The Green Prince, a captivating doco about a spy and handler who forge an unexpected friendship; and Sweets, an acclaimed comedy drama outlining the struggle between an Israeli company and an Arab entrepreneur.
