OFFICIAL COMPETITION RULES

1. HOW IT WORKS:

a)  Participants of the ABIA Bride-to-Be Competition have the opportunity to enter the Major Prize of $20,000.00 to be spent ONLY on participating suppliers of the ABIA Bride-to-Be Competition.

b) Participants of the ABIA Bride-to-Be Competition have the opportunity to enter the State Prize of $1,000.00 to be spent ONLY on participating suppliers of the ABIA Bride-to-Be Competition.

c) To be eligible to win a prize in the ABIA Bride-to-Be Competition, entrants must register through the Competition Form on the ABIA website and ‘Comment’ with the answer to the competition question on the prize image of the supplier they wish to spend their prize money with

d)There is no limit to the number of times the entrant can answer the competition question on each suppliers image in the ABIA Bride-to-Be Competition.

e)Each competition question answer in the ABIA Bride-to-Be Competition will be judged individually.

f) There is no limit on how many supplier images the entrant can comment on in the ABIA Bride-to-Be Competition

g) By entering the competition, the entrants understand and agree that their details will be provided to the participating suppliers of the ABIA Bride-to-Be Competition.

h)The competition starts at 12pm AEST on the 11th of August, 2014 and ends at mid-day 12 pm AEST on the 20th of October, 2014.

2. ELIGIBILITY:

This promotion is open to entrants who:

a) are over the age of 18; and
b) are currently engaged; and
c) are getting married in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia or Western Australia; and
d) entered the competition between 12pm AEST on the 11th of August, 2014 and ends at mid-day 12 pm AEST on the 20th of October, 2014.

3. HOW TO ENTER:

In order to be eligible to win a prize, the Participant must:

a)  Register via the online form provide at the web address: www.abia.com.au/b2bcompetition ; and
b)  Complete the Competition Form in its entirety; and
c)   Answer the Competition Question by commenting on each suppliers image which they wish to spend their winning prize with.

4. WINNER SELECTION

a) One (1) Winner will be chosen for the Major Prize of $20,000.00 to be spent on participating suppliers in the ABIA Bride-to-Be Competition.

b) One (1) Winner in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia will be chosen for the State Prize of $1,000.00 to be spent on participating suppliers in the ABIA Bride-to-Be Competition.

c)  The Winners will be chosen based on the most creative, inspiring, interesting and or relevant answer made in the comment section underneath participating suppliers image of the ABIA Bride-to-Be Competition Album.

d)The Winners will be announced at 12 midday on the 27th of October 2014

e) The Winners will be contacted by the email they have provided in the Competition Registration Form.

f) The Winner will be required to respond within 7 days of the date of notification, should the Winner fail to respond in this timeframe, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be
chosen at the discretion of the Australian Bridal Industry Academy.

g) The Australian Bridal Industry Academy Pty Ltd reserves the right to announce the Winners
publicly at its discretion.

5. LEGAL FRAMEWORK:

a)The Entrant must agree to the Competition Terms and Conditions of the ABIA Bride-to-Be Competition in order to participate in the competition.

b)  The Entrant who is announced as the Winner must understand, agree and accept the individual Terms and Conditions of each of the participating suppliers.

c)  By participating in this competition, the Entrant accepts the conditions of the competition and waives any legal action against the Australian Bridal Industry Academy Pty Ltd.

d)  The Australian Bridal Industry Academy reserves the right to change the rules of this competition at any time, without prior notice.

e)   By participating in this competition, the Winner agrees, that the Australian Bridal Industry Academy will not be liable for any omissions or failure by participating suppliers including but not limited to instances where a participating suppliers fails to provide a product or service.

f) Verification of submissions is at the discretion of the Australian Bridal Industry Academy Pty Ltd.

g) The selection of Winners is at the sole discretion of the Australian Bridal Industry Academy Pty Ltd.

h) The Australian Bridal Industry Academy Pty Ltd reserves the right to disqualify any submission for any reason it deems fit.

i) The Australian Bridal Industry Academy Pty Ltd reserves the right to make any changes to the competition, at any time without prior notice.

j)The Australian Bridal Industry Academy Pty Ltd reserves the right to remove any comments written by any persons which is considered inappropriate or offensive.   

7. PRIVACY POLICY:

a) All Information collected during the course of the ABIA Bride-to-Be Competition may be used for marketing and promotional purposes by the Australian Bridal Industry Academy.

b)Information provided by the entrants of the ABIA Bride-to-Be Competition to the Australian Bridal Industry Academy will be provided to the participating suppliers of the ABIA Bride-to-Be Competition.


 
OFFICIAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
of the 2014 Bride-to-Be Competition.

    The Competition Rules and Competition Terms and Conditions must be read, understood, acknowledged and agreed to by the Entrant in order to participate in and be eligible to win a prize in the ABIA Bride-to-Be Competition.
    The Winners must accept and agree to the Terms and Conditions of the participating supplier in order to redeem the prize.
    If the Winner does not accept the Terms and Conditions of the participating supplier, they will revoke their right to that portion of the prize.
    The Winner will directly correspond with participating suppliers  to book in their product and services
    The Winner is only eligible to spend their prize money with the participating suppliers they have commented on in the ABIA Bride-to-Be Competition.
    The Major Prize Winner may spend the $20,000.00 prize with any or all of the participating suppliers.
    The State Prize Winners may spend the $1,000.00 prize with any or all of the participating suppliers.
    The Winner must confirm their booking with the participating supplier within six (6) months of being announced the Winner, in order to use their prize money.
    All invoices must be provided to ABIA by the participating suppliers within six (6) months of being announced the Winner, in order to use their prize money.
    ABIA will pay the participating suppliers deposit requirements within 7 days of receipt and confirmation of invoice by participating supplier and will pay the balance of the invoice in accordance with the supplier’s terms and conditions.
    ABIA will make payment on the participant’s final invoice within 14 working days of it being provided.
    All consultations must be undertaken between the participating supplier and the Winner with regards to the costs of the products and services of the participating supplier she wishes to spend her $20.000.00 prize with.
    The Winner and the participating supplier must agree on the quantity, style or design of the prize in advance.
    If the Winner cancels their booking with a participating supplier, ABIA will only make payment on the cancellation fee in line with the participating suppliers’ standard terms and conditions.
    If the Winner cancels, amends or alters their original booking with any participating supplier and this incurs a fee, charge or cost, this fee, charge or cost will be covered by the prize money and reduce the prize money by the value of the fee, charge or cost.
    The Winner must understand, agree and accept the individual Terms and Conditions of each participating supplier which they wish to spend their prize money with.
    The prize money is not transferrable or interchangeable.
    The prize money cannot be redeemed for cash.
    If the Major Prize Winner chooses products or services from the participating suppliers that do not reach the total value of $20,000.00, the Winner forfeits the remaining value of the prize money.
    If the State Prize Winner chooses products or services from the participating suppliers that do not reach the total value of $1,000.00, the Winner forfeits the remaining value of the prize money.
    If the Winner does not accept the Terms and Conditions of any of the participating suppliers, they will revoke their right to that portion of the prize money.
    By participating in this competition, the participating supplier absolves the Australian Bridal Industry Academy from any liability related to but not limited to the competition, the prize money and the products and services offered to the Winner.
    By participating in the competition, the participating supplier accepts the conditions of the competition and waives any legal action against the Australian Bridal Industry Academy Pty Ltd.
    The selection of Winners is; in the first instance selected by the participating suppliers and the winner will be chosen at the discretion of the Australian Bridal Industry Academy Pty Ltd and no correspondence will be entered into.
    Any supplier who has accepted a booking from the Prize Winner must issue an Invoice to the ABIA which will include a deposit to a maximum of 20% of the total negotiated value of the product or service provided.
    Payment of suppliers invoices will be made by ABIA via Credit Card.
    Payment of Deposits will be made via Credit Card within 7 days of receipt of invoice.
    Payment of final account will be made within 7 (Seven) to 90 (Ninety) days prior to the winning brides wedding date whichever is the greater.
    Any supplier who has accepted a deposit and or full payment for agreed services or products as negotiated by the winning bride and her selected suppliers and subsequently fails to supply the negotiated product or service will have a request for a full refund made to ABIA’s Credit Card provider for non-supply of negotiated products and services.
    All invoices must include GST
    Should the winning bride cancel her wedding booking with one or more of her selected suppliers, the suppliers terms and conditions of cancelation will apply and any penalizations will be subtracted from the total prize monies.
