The Lavazza Italian Film Festival is back for another year, bringing Mediterranean romance to Palace Barracks and Palace Centro cinemas from October 1–22. To celebrate its 15th year, the festival will screen 33 new features and one glamorous classic as the closing-night film – Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni’s Marriage Italian Style, remastered 50 years after its first release. The 2014 Lavazza Italian Film Festival will open with entertaining biopic Marina, telling the true story of singer, songwriter and accordionist Rocco Granata, as well as an eclectic mix of comedys, tragedies and documentaries.
