Win A Double Pass To See Fractures

Following his sold out tour last month, Fractures’ has released a remarkable video collaboration for his song ‘It’s Alright’ and announced Australian dates in November at Paddington Church (Sydney) and Abbotsford Convent (Melbourne) as part of his ‘Hallowed Ground Tour’.

The powerful video collaboration was done with Melbourne filmmaker Matthew Chuang and was shot in the abandoned city of Pripyat, Ukraine. It traces a fictional former inhabitant’s movements through empty homes and schools deserted in 1986. The man’s attempts to revive memories of lost lives mirror Fractures’ bruised electronica to emotive effect.

Watch Fractures and Matthew Chuang’s ‘It’s Alright’ video collaboration here

“’It’s Alright’ captures the feeling we experienced when we were at Pripyat, the isolation and the sparseness. This man returns to a place he once called home- nature & decay have taken over but the memories are so strong. Conceptually it feels right, this man telling himself ‘it’s alright, it’s alright…’”
It’s Alright’ video director Matthew Chuang

The announcement of the ‘Hallowed Ground Tour’ rounds out a big year on the home front for Mark Zito. He made his Splendour in the Grass debut and supported Wild Beasts’ in July, sold out a string of his own headline shows in August, played Big Sound in September and is confirmed to play Beyond The Valley on New Year’s Eve.

Fractures self-titled debut EP is available now in Australia and New Zealand via Create/Control.

To celebrate the tour, Tone Deaf are giving readers the chance to win a double pass to see Fractures in Sydney and Melbourne. Enter your details below for a chance to win!
