Travel Insurance Direct "Ultimate Travel Pack" Competition Terms and Conditions of Entry

1. WHO MAY ENTER

The promotion is open to all Australian residents, over the age of 18, who purchase a Travel Insurance Direct travel insurance Policy during the Promotion Period. This promotion is not open to any employees or family members of employees of Travel Insurance Direct Pty Ltd or its related companies.

2. ENTRANTS BOUND BY CONDITIONS

By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions.

3. HOW TO ENTER

To enter, entrants must:

i. Visit the competition entry page on the Travel Insurance Direct website

ii. Buy a Policy from Travel Insurance Direct during the Promotion Period

iii. Read these conditions

iv. Enter their details

v. and in 50 words or less, write a story about when things go just a TID wrong while travelling.

3b. Entries must be: (i) the original independent creation of the entrant (ii) owned by the entrant, and (iii) free of any claims, including copyright or trademark claims, by other parties. 3b. Entries must not : (i) have been published previously, (ii) have won prizes or awards in other competitions, (iii) be restricted in any way, or (iv) infringe any third party rights.

4. LIMITATIONS ON ENTRY

One entry per person.

5. PROMOTION PERIOD

The promotion starts at 9am on 1 December 2014 and ends at 11.59pm on 9 January 2015 (“Promotion Period"). All references to time are local in Sydney, Australia.

6. SELECTION OF WINNERS

The winners will be determined by a panel of judges on 16 January 2015. The judges will choose one (1) winner of the Major Prize, and four (4) winners of the Minor Prize, who they consider to be the most creative and original response. The entry deemed by the judging panel to be the most creative and original will be awarded the Major Prize listed in Clause 7. The next four most creative and original entries will be awarded the Minor Prize listed in Clause 7. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which, in the opinion of the Promoter, is incomprehensible, illegible, and incomplete or includes objectionable content, including but not limited to profanity, nudity, potentially insulting, scandalous, inflammatory or defamatory images or language. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

7. PRIZES

i. Major Prize

The Major Prize is an ‘Ultimate Travel Prize Pack’ up to the value of $4000 . The Ultimate Travel prize pack consists of:

One (1) x $1500 Virgin Australia voucher. Full terms and conditions of Virgin Australia gift vouchers can be found on the Virgin Australia website.   

One (1) x $1000 Wotif.com.au accommodation voucher. Full terms and conditions  of the Wotif accommodation voucher can be found on the Wotif.com.au website.

One (1) x iPad mini 3 Wi-Fi 64GB (worth $619 as of 27 November 2014)

$500 spending money

One (1) x $300 Luggage Bazaar voucher from http://www.luggagebazaar.com.au/.

One (1) x Travel insurance policy from Travel Insurance Direct*

Any additional costs which are incurred by the winners will be at their own expense.

ii. Minor Prize

The Minor Prize consists of four (4) Apple iPad mini 3 Wi-Fi 16GB, valued at $498 each as of 27 November 2014. One iPad mini will be awarded to each of the four winners of the Minor Prize.

7b. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any variations in the value of the prizes. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. In the event that any prize or part thereof is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater recommend retail value.

8. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND PUBLICATION

The winners of the Major and Minor prizes will be notified by email on 16 January 2015. The Promoter will not advise entrants of failure to win a prize. The Promoter is not responsible for contacting the winners by any other method or for the winners not receiving notification for any reason. Entrants are responsible for providing and maintaining correct contact details.

9. PRIZE COLLECTION

The Promoter will supply the Major and Minor Prizes to the winners as follows –

The $1500 Virgin Australia voucher, $1000 Wotif.com.au accommodation voucher and $300 Luggage Bazaar voucher will be emailed to the winners’ nominated email address. The $500 spending money will be transferred to the winners’ nominated Australian bank account. The iPad mini 3 Wi-Fi 64GB will be delivered by courier or registered post to the winner’s’ nominated address. The address provided must be an Australian address.  The winners may be required to attend their local post office and provide proof of identity to collect their prize Confirmation of the Travel insurance policy from Travel Insurance Direct will be emailed to the winner’s’ nominated email address

Minor Prize of iPad minis will be delivered by courier or registered post to the winners’ nominated address. The address provided must be an Australian address. The winners may be required to attend their local post office and provide proof of identity to collect their prize.

10. ENTRY VERIFICATION

The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of Entry.

11. PROMOTER

The Promoter is Travel Insurance Direct Pty Limited ABN 30 121 659 470, Level 21, 680 George  Street, Sydney, New South Wales, 2000.

12. LIABILITY

The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of taking any of the prizes, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

13. CONSENT TO USE ENTRIES

By entering the competition entrants consent to the information they submit with their entry, including personal details, literary response, being entered into a database and the Promoter may use this information in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes [including sending electronic communication] without any further reference or payment or other compensation to the entrant.

14. PRIVACY

Your personal information is collected, used, stored and disclosed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
