1. These are the Terms and Conditions for participation in this prize draw. If you do not wish to accept these Terms and Conditions in their entirety, please do not submit an online entry to us. By participating in this prize draw you will be deemed to have read and accepted all of the Terms and Conditions. Failure to comply with any of these Rules will disqualify you from taking part in the prize draw.
2. How to Enter. Log onto
www.qatarairways.com/scotland (referred to herein as "website") and follow the directions to enter between 0900 Greenwich Mean Time ("GMT") on 10 November 2014
and 0000 GMT on 31 March 2015. All entries must be received on or before the Draw Date. You must include on the entry form your complete name and email address. All entrants must have a valid email address. In case of dispute as to the identity of the entrant, the entry will be declared made by the authorised account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. "Authorised Account Holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned an email address by an internet access provider, online service provider or other organisation (eg business, educational, institution etc) responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. The potential winner may be required to provide VisitScotland (the "Promoter") with proof that such winner is the authorised account holder of the email address associated with a winning entry.
Any other attempted form of entry is prohibited; no automatic, programmed, robotic or similar means of entry are permitted, and any use of such automated devices will cause disqualification. The Promoter, its affiliates, partners, agencies and any entities involved with the administration or fulfilment of this prize draw are not responsible for technical, hardware, software, telephone or other communication malfunctions, errors or failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, website, internet, or ISP availability, unauthorised human intervention, incomplete or inaccurate capture of entry information (regardless of cause) or failed, incomplete, garbled, jumbled or delayed computer transmissions which may limit one's ability to enter the prize draw, including, insofar as permitted by law, any injury or damage to the participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participating in this prize draw or downloading any materials in this prize draw. The Promoter does not warrant that the entry mechanism will be available at all times during the period of the competition.
Limit one (1) entry per person or email address.All entries become the sole property of the Promoter and receipt of entries will not be acknowledged or returned. The Promoter is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, technically corrupted or misdirected entries, which will be disqualified. Only fully completed entry forms are eligible. Proof of submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by the Promoter.
3. Eligibility.
This prize draw is open to residents in Australia, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates only. Participation is open to persons aged at least 18 and over who must be a legal resident of Australia, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait or the United Arab Emirates upon entry. Full address verification and proof of identity may be requested. Employees, officers and directors of VisitScotland or Qatar Airways and their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, dealers, advertising and promotion agencies, manufacturers or distributors of the prize draw materials and their immediate families (parents, children, siblings, spouses) or members of the same household (whether related or not) of such employees, officers and directors are not eligible to enter. Void where prohibited by local law.
Partner companies within this promotion over and above VisitScotland include Qatar Airways.
The prize draw is governed exclusively by the laws of Scotland, which shall be exclusively applicable to any and all disputes arising out of or in connection with the prize draw or these rules. Scottish courts shall have sole jurisdiction over any and all disputes arising out of or in connection with this prize draw provided that such exclusivity does not apply to legal actions initiated or brought by the Promoter.
4. Draw. One (1) winner will be selected in a draw from all eligible entries received. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for the drawing. The draw will be conducted by an independent organisation on or around 7 April 2015 (the "Draw Date"). By entering the prize draw, entrants fully and unconditionally agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges, which will be final and binding in all matters relating to the prize draw.

Prizes. The prize is for two (2) people. One (1) winner will receive the prize and the winner will be able to choose one (1) travel companion to accompany them on the trip. The prize comprises:
" Return flights to Scotland with Qatar Airways. (The Promoter reserves the right to choose the departure airport that is closest to the winner's address.)
" Car hire for 7 days: the winner (and/or travel companion) must have a full, clean driver's license valid for use in the UK and adhere to the car hire company conditions of hire.
" 6 nights/7 days in Scotland staying in Edinburgh, St Andrews and the Highlands.
" A tour of Edinburgh Castle.
" A tour of The Royal Yacht Britannia.
" A cruise on Loch Ness.
The winner and their travel companion will receive an economy class return flight to Scotland as agreed by VisitScotland and subject to booking availability. The winner and their travel companion shall be responsible for travel and travel costs to the departure airport selected by the Promoter in the manner set out above.
The winner and their companion must complete their travel (both outbound and return journeys) between 1 May 2015 and 15 July 2015 inclusive. If the selected prize winner and companion are eventually unable to travel at the specified times for any reason, the prize will be forfeited. All activities, travel and accommodation are subject to availability, weather conditions and the individual operator's standard terms and conditions. Height and age restrictions may apply.
All travel, activities, and accommodations are at the winner's and travel companion's risk. Transportation to and from the departure airport, incidental taxes, meals, gratuities, travel upgrades or any other expenses not specifically listed herein are the responsibility of the winner and travel companion. Travel is subject to booking availability. The winner and travel companion must travel on the same itinerary. The travel companion must be of the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence unless the winner is the travel companion's parent or legal guardian. The promoter is not liable for delays, cancellations or unforeseen events related to the flights. The winner and their travel companion will be solely responsible for obtaining valid identification and compliance with all travel and health requirements (eg passports, visas) relating to acceptance and use of the travel prize packages and must have no impediment to entering Scotland. The Promoter will not replace any lost, mutilated or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates.
The Promoter is not responsible for denial of entry at the port of arrival which is solely at the discretion of the immigration authorities. In case denial of entry does occur, the Promoter will make all reasonable endeavour to accommodate the winner and the travel companion on the next available Qatar Airways flight to the point of departure. The Promoter is not responsible for any expenses incurred in the interim. The winner and their travel companion will have to bear the expenses if they opt to make their own travel arrangements back.
6. Notification. The selected winners will be notified by email by 14 April 2015. If a winner does not respond within 7 days of the first notification attempt, if any prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or in the event of non-compliance with these prize draw rules and requirements, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw prize entitlement and the prize will be forfeited and an alternative winner will be selected. Upon prize forfeiture no compensation will be given.
7. Conditions. Participation in the prize draw and acceptance of the prize constitutes the winner's permission for the Promoter to use their name, address (city and state/province/country), likeness, biographical information and any statements made by winner regarding the prize without notice or additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. On entering the competition entrants agree to take part in any pre- and post-event competition publicity if required. By participating, and insofar as is permitted by law, entrants, the winner and their travel companion agree to release and hold harmless VisitScotland and Qatar Airways, and their respective advertising and promotion agencies, their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors, from any and all liability for loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense whatsoever including, without limitation, property damage, personal injury and/or death which may occur in connection with, preparation for, travel to, or participation in the prize draw, or possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of the prize or participation in any prize draw related activity and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery. The Promoter is not responsible if any portion of the prize cannot be awarded due to travel cancellations, delays or interruptions due to Acts of God, Acts of War, natural disasters, weather or terrorism.
Entrants who do not comply with these Terms & Conditions, or attempt to interfere with this prize draw, or are prohibited or otherwise ineligible to enter by any applicable law in any way, shall be disqualified. No substitutions or cash redemptions are available, in whole or in part. In the case of unavailability of all or any portion of the prize(s), or owing to circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. There is no purchase or sales presentation required to participate. A purchase does not increase the odds of winning. The prize is not transferable in any way (except by the Promoter) and must be taken by the designated winner and nominated travel companion. The winner and travel companion are responsible for their own travel insurance and valid passports.
Qatar Airways additional Terms and Conditions
The flight return tickets shall be issued by Qatar Airways under the following conditions:
The tickets will:
(a) be issued within one (1) month upon the Promoter informing the winner and the travel companion that they have won the prize by email;
(b) be valid only on Qatar Airways operated flights and do not include destinations from Qatar Airways partners or code-share agreements;
(c) not entitle the holder to any mileage credit to the Qatar Airways Privilege Club programme;
(d) be valid for a period of three (3) months from the date of issue. The validity period shall not be extended and rebooked. Tickets will be issued as an etix (electronic tickets) to the winner's name and the travel companion's name only. Proof of identity is required;
(e) be inclusive of all applicable taxes and surcharges.
Travel is subject to seat availability and Qatar Airways may, at its sole discretion, change the travel date due to embargo and peak restrictions.

8. Additional Terms. Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this prize draw should circumstances make this unavoidable, including, but not limited to virus, bugs, non-authorised human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the prize draw. In such case, Promoter may select the winner from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Promoter. Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the prize draw or Web site.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PRIZE DRAW MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE PROMOTER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
9. Use of Data. The Promoter will collect personal data about participants when they enter the prize draw in accordance with its privacy policy. By participating in the prize draw, entrants hereby agree to the Promoter's collection and usage of their personal information and acknowledge that they have read and accepted the Promoter's privacy policy.
