Why do we ask for your TFN consent?

VicSuper can take the hard work out of tracking down all your other super accounts, but we need your consent to use your tax file number (TFN) to do so.

Once you've given us your consent, we'll use your TFN to search the ATO for other accounts you may have. Well then sent you a list of the funds that the ATO records as belonging to you and you'll be able to choose whether you want to transfer them into your VicSuper account.

Combining multiple super accounts means:

    More money to grow your super account

Entry requirements
1. Entry into the Draw is open to residents in Victoria; see Conditions of Entry for further
details.
2. Entry to the Draw is available to eligible VicSuper members who provide TFN consent between
Monday 17 November 2014 and Tuesday 31 March 2015.
3. Entry Period: commences on Monday 17 November 2014 and ends at 11.59pm on Tuesday
31 March 2015. All dates and times are dates and times in Melbourne, Australia.
Entry Method: via the VicSuper website http://vicsuper.com.au/TFN, via VicSuper MembersOnline,
completing the ‘Provide your tax file number’ form or by calling VicSuper’s Member Centre.
Draw: to be drawn using a random number generator at 10am on Monday 13 April 2015 at Level 8,
171 Collins Street, Melbourne.
Prize (Not Redeemable for Cash, Not Transferable): One of three iPhone 6 (16GB/4.7 inch) worth
$869

Prize Distribution: The Prize will be distributed as follows:

Conditions of entry
Participation
4. This draw ("Draw") is conducted by VicSuper Pty Ltd, ABN 69 087 619 412, AFSL 237333,
RSE L0000468, of Level 9, 171 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 (“VicSuper”).
5. Entry to the Draw constitutes acceptance of these conditions. All other entry instructions
and prize information published by VicSuper shall form part of these conditions, but only to
the extent they are not inconsistent with these conditions.
6. The Draw is only open to “Eligible Participants”, being individuals who as at the date of the
entry:
i. are resident in Victoria, Australia; and
ii. are current members of the VicSuper Fund; and
iii. have provided TFN consent during the Entry Period; and
iv. are not employees or contractors of VicSuper, or any of its related corporations or
any of their agencies associated with the Draw.
How to Enter
7. To enter, an Eligible Participant must enter via the VicSuper website http://vicsuper.com.au/TFN,
via VicSuper MembersOnline, by completing the ‘Provide your tax file number’ form or by calling
VicSuper’s Member Centre to provide their TFN consent and must:
 Provide TFN consent to be accepted as a valid entry into the Draw; and
 Only (1) one entry will be accepted per person.
8. All entrants must ensure that they fully complete the requirements during the Entry Period.
VicSuper takes no responsibility for late or misdirected entries or for any delays or failures
in any telecommunications or postal service or equipment of any party.
9. All entries to the Draw may be subject to verification by VicSuper. An entrant MUST, within
seven days of being asked, at VicSuper’s cost, allow VicSuper to inspect and copy any
documents VicSuper may request establishing eligibility to enter or win, including evidence
of age, residence or identity.
10. VicSuper may, at its absolute discretion, declare any entries invalid if the entrant:
 in VicSuper’s sole opinion, fails to establish their entitlement to enter the Draw;
 tampers with the entry process or benefits from such tampering; or
 submits an entry which in VicSuper's sole opinion is not in accordance with these
conditions.
11. Any costs associated with entering the competition are the responsibility of the person
seeking entry.
Drawing the prize
12. The Draw will be held on Monday 13 April 2015, Level 8, 171 Collins Street at 10am.
13. The Draw will be conducted using a random number generator.
14. The Prize for each winner (three winners in total) is an iPhone 6 (16GB/4.7 inch) valued at $869
each.
15. If a Prize is unavailable for any reason, VicSuper will substitute an alternative prize of no
lesser retail value. VicSuper accepts no other liability or responsibility for any loss incurred
by a winner or any other party if a Prize is unavailable for any reason.
16. If a winner of a Prize is under 18 years of age, the Prize may be awarded to a parent or
guardian of the winner, as determined by VicSuper, on the winner's behalf.
17. The right to receive a Prize is not transferable, redeemable for cash, or exchangeable, and
a Prize cannot be taken as a monetary payment unless determined otherwise at VicSuper’s
sole discretion.
Winners
18. The winner will be notified by phone and in writing, and the Prize will be sent via registered post.
19. In order to be entitled to the Prize, a winner must:
i. agree to and sign a liability release, waiver and/or indemnity in favour of VicSuper
and/or any person or other entity associated with this Draw if requested; and
ii. provide to VicSuper a written confirmation of the consents given pursuant to clause
24 if requested.
A winner who does not comply with this condition forfeits their Prize.
20. The name and suburb of the winner will be published on VicSuper’s website from 12 noon on
Monday 13 April 2015 and in the Herald Sun newspaper on Friday 17 April 2015.
Prize conditions
21. VicSuper takes no responsibility for any damage or loss suffered in connection with any
defects in the workmanship of the Prizes, or for any delays or non-deliveries as a result of
or in connection with acts or omissions of a third party.
22. VicSuper does not endorse the companies that are involved with this promotion. VicSuper
disclaims any and all liability as a result of or in connection with the goods and services
provided by the companies used and takes no responsibility for any acts or omissions of
these parties.
Use of information provided
23. By entering the Draw each entrant agrees that the information collected will be used by
VicSuper for business and research purposes, but disclosure of the personal details of the
entrants to regulatory authorities may be required by law.
24. The winners consent to the publication and use of their information in accordance with this
agreement, specifically but not limited to the notification of the winners’ names and
addresses to any regulatory authority in Australia requiring such notification.
General
25. VicSuper assumes no responsibility for:
i. any error, omission, interruption, or delay in the operation or transmission of any
communication sent to (or by) VicSuper, or any entrant whether caused by
Australia Post, communication networks or lines, computer systems, software or
internet service providers, congestion on any carrier network or otherwise,
ii. any theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of such
communications;
iii. any problem with, or technical malfunction of, any computer system or other
equipment used for the conduct of the Draw (if any);
iv. any incorrect or incomplete information which may be communicated in the course
of the administering this Draw (whether as a result of one of the foregoing clauses
or otherwise).
26. VicSuper accepts no responsibility for any tax liability incurred as a result of an entrant
participating in the Draw. Entrants should seek independent tax and financial advice if
necessary.
27. To the full extent permitted by law, VicSuper, its associated companies and agencies and
any of their personnel exclude all liability for any loss (including any damage, claim, injury, cost or
expense) which is suffered or incurred by any Eligible Participants in connection with
the Draw or Prize, including:
i. any indirect, economic or consequential loss;
ii. any loss arising from the negligence of a VicSuper, its associated companies and
agencies and any of their personnel;
iii. any liability for personal injury or death.
28. Except as otherwise specified in these Conditions of Entry, all personal information
collected by VicSuper will be kept in accordance with our Privacy brochure (personal
information) as published from time to time and available from www.vicsuper.com.au.
