Calling conservation kids everywhere! It’s Conservation Month at the Australian Reptile Park these holidays and there are stacks of cool conservation animals and activities on offer!
There will be Dingo pups! That’s right, the Park's female Dingo ‘Adina’ has just had puppies! ‘Kala’, the Park's other female Dingo is currently pregnant and is due to have puppies any day now. During the June/July school holidays, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the pups and even have their photo taken with them.
The Park will also be introducing a NEW experience for visitors. ‘Animal Encounters’ gives guests the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the stars of the Australian Reptile Park. Each ‘Animal Encounter’ lasts for 15-20 minutes and offers participants a hands-on, fully interactive, once in a lifetime experience. They are available for booking online or on the day of your visit at the front desk.
The Park's special Conservation Show will run daily at 12:30pm and educate visitors about the Park’s most threatened species. They will also be bringing back their popular ‘Conservation Workshops’ where participants are able to learn about how to attract native wildlife to their backyard by learning to build possum boxes and frog ponds. In addition, the Kids 2 Keeper workshops run throughout the holidays, with an emphasis on conservation. Kids can learn about conservation and get their hands dirty at the same time!
Australia’s crankiest crocodile, Elvis, is massive at 5 metres and will leap for his lunch in a spectacular display at 1.30pm every day during the holiday's. Hugo the giant Galapagos tortoise will take his daily walk through the Park at 12noon and visitors have the rare opportunity to get hands on and up close to the animals when the Park's rovers roam with reptiles and mammals every day between 11am – 2pm. Take advantage of free BBQ facilities, free parking and a spectacular new playground at the Australian Reptile Park – the best family fun day out!
