Transmission films are releasing HOLDING THE MAN , the new film based on Timothy Conigrave’s cult-classic and hilarious memoir, and the inspiration for the award winning stage play in cinemas on August 27. HOLDING THE MAN is the remarkable true-life love story that speaks across generations, sexualities and cultures, bought to the screen by acclaimed director Neil Armfield and starring Ryan Corr in the role of Timothy Conigrave, alongside Craig Stott, Kerry Fox, Sarah Snook, Camilla Ah Kin, Guy Pearce and Anthony LaPaglia.

Ryan Corr will be in Perth to present a special screening to fans at Luna Leederville on Wednesday 26 August at 6.30pm, and take part in a Q&A following the movie, hosted by Network Ten’s Narelda Jacobs. Luna Cinemas and Community Newspaper Group are offering the chance to win one of ten double passes to this special cinema event. Tickets are also on sale for the screening via www.lunapalace.com.au

The ten winners will also receive a copy of HOLDING THE MAN, the official soundtrack thanks to Sony Music Australia. The soundtrack features classic tracks from Masters Apprentices, Dragon, T-Rex, Bronski Beat, Bryan Ferry and a specially composed track for the film by Rufus Wainwright: “Forever And A Year”.
