Koonara Wines is in the heart of the magnificent Coonawarra wine region.This small family winery produces award-winning wines from organic vineyards that are showcased at their cellar door in the middle of the Penola township. Whilst wine tasting is of course the highlight, this cellar door offers something surprisingly different...
To introduce you to Koonara, we have four mixed half cases of their outstanding wine to be won and each one will come with an added surprise gift!
 
About Koonara
Koonara is the name of the Reschke family property in Coonawarra, first settled in 1906 by Henry and Alice Reschke. 100 years later, Dru and Nicole with their daughters Lucy and Alice are still custodians of the land.
Whilst the original cattle stud is still there, the vineyards and wine became the focus and passion in 1988 with the first 30 cases of wines made for family and friends in 1991 (and every year since).
The Reschkes and their winemaker Peter Douglas believe quality is integral to producing a wine which is not only good, but consistent and age worthy each year so the vineyards are naturally kept at an average of 2 tonnes or less an acre and are practising organic viticulture.
 
What's at the cellar door?
Well, fine Koonara wine is of course the feature but this cellar door in the middle of Penola but it is also a showcase for LARDER, where Nicole's talents for sourcing quality home and giftwares that have a natural design along with practicality are at the fore.
The range reflects the country and seaside lifestyle of the Coonawarra region and Limestone Coast and includes an array of lightweight, durable porcelain for the perfect dinner party and all things for the home and kitchen. Lucy & Alice Jewellery is a new addition to the cellar door with unique pieces to suit all ages. A fun, colourful, modern and affordable range, for all situations, it is constantly changing.
