The legendary pioneer of the Flying Doctors, John Flynn, has been Everald Compton’s role model since his early schooldays.

Now the Brisbane author Compton has penned a historical chronicling of The Man on the Twenty Dollar Notes, featuring Flynn’s greatest achievements.

The book tells the story of one incredible man who, in addition to establishing the Flying Doctor Service, also pioneered the pedal radio, founded the School of the Air and built bush hospitals all over the continent of Australia.

Regarded by historians as one of Australia’s greatest sons, Flynn’s fame won him the honour of being pictured on Australia’s twenty-dollar notes.

The Man on the Twenty Dollar Notes endeavours to inspire a new generation of Australian pioneers to become nation builders in the John Flynn mould.
