REEFER MADNESS is a laugh-out-loud musical satire based on the 1936 instructional film

Writers/composers Kevin Murphy and Dan Studney took the much-mocked cult film and created an all-singing, all-dancing parody that is set to leave Sydney audiences on a high!

Rockdale Musical Society brings the brilliant show to the Depot Theatre, Marrickville - in Sydney’s sinful inner west - for a limited season from 1-5 June.

The over-the-top, campy story begins with a Lecturer informing the audience of the new drug menace,
Marijuana, which threatens the American way of life.

He tells the story of a young high school student, Jimmy Harper, whose life is turned upside down by the "demon weed".
Jimmy spends all of his time in the Reefer Den ignoring his fa amily, school, and most importantly his girlfriend: the quintessential all-American sweetheart, Mary Lane.
He eventually realises the error of his ways; but it’s too late to turn over a new leaf! Jimmy must pay the price of REEFER MADNESS!

Rockdale Musical Society is very excited to bring this fun, spoofy show to the Sydney stage…

this spectacular production in the inner south-west ‘sin city’ of Marrickville stars Paul Adderley as The Lecturer,
Joshua Ridge as Jimmy Harper, Cassidy Rae Gaiter as Mary Lane, Brad Facey as Jack Stone and Jesus,
Stephanie McKenna as Mae Coleman, Ethan Harvey as Ralph Wiley, Georgia Vella as Sally DeBanis,
Montana Josh as the Placard Girl, Amelia West as Roxy and Jacob Barn as Goat Man.
