Whether you ride for fun, transport, sport or fitness, Cycling Brisbane has something for you.

To celebrate Bike Week 2016, Cycling Brisbane is giving you the chance to win one of the following four prizes over four weeks thanks to three of our fantastic partners; Bicycle Queensland, Reid Cycles and Magellan.

Week One - One of five double passes to the Great Brisbane Bike Ride, Sunday 15 May 2016 (entries close 4pm Wednesday 11 May)
Week Two - One of five double passes to the Pier to Point Women’s Ride, Sunday 22 May 2016 (entries close 4pm Monday 16 May)
Week Three - Magellan bike computer, valued at $399 (entries close 4pm Wednesday 25 May)

Cycling Brisbane: Win for Bike Week competition
1. Information on how to enter the competition forms part of the competition conditions.

2. Competition entry is deemed acceptance of these competition conditions.

3. Prizes:  There are fifteen prizes for this competition.

Five double passes to the Great Brisbane Bike Ride, supplied by Bicycle Queensland, 20 Horan Street, West End
Five double passes to the Pier to Point Women’s Ride, supplied by Bicycle Queensland, 20 Horan Street, West End
One Magellan bike computer to the value of $399, supplied by Magellan
One Reid Cycles Granite bicycle to the value of $799, supplied by Reid Cycles, 11 Birubi Street, Coorparoo.
One Reid Cycles Viper childrens bicycle to the value of $269, supplied by Reid Cycles, 11 Birubi Street, Coorparoo.
One Reid Cycles MTB Sport bicycle to the value of $249, supplied by Reid Cycles, 11 Birubi Street, Coorparoo.
One Reid Cycles Vintage Ladies Singlespeed bicycle to the value of $130, supplied by Reid Cycles, 11 Birubi Street, Coorparoo.
The prizes are not exchangeable or transferable, unless deemed so by the prize provider. Any additional expenses incurred by the prize winners, other than those outlined in these competition conditions, are the responsibility of the prize winners. Prizes are themselves subject to the specific terms and conditions of the prize providers.

The prizes must be redeemed by the prizewinner unless the prizewinner is under 18 years of age, in which case the prizewinner’s parent or guardian is required to redeem the prize on the prizewinner’s behalf.

4. The competition period: The competition opens at 08:00am on Monday 18 April 2016 and closes at 4:00pm on Wednesday 1 June 2016.

5. How to enter: Entrants must complete the online competition entry form in full, answer the question of ‘what is your favourite type of bike ride in Brisbane’ from the drop down list of answers provided or with their own option and select the prizes they wish to win. Entrants are eligible to win more than one prize if drawn multiple times.

6. Eligibility: To be eligible to enter this competition, a person must:

a) be a verified member of Brisbane City Council’s Cycling Brisbane membership program at the time of prize redemption;

b) fully and legibly complete all the details on the official online registration form;

c) not be an employee or contracted staff of the prize providers;

d) not be an employee, contracted staff or relative of Programs and Project Unit, Transport Planning and Strategy branch within Brisbane City Council; and

e) be over the age of 18 or have the consent of a parent or guardian to enter the competition.

7. Competition Draw: Winners will be randomly drawn by a Council Officer. The individual winners of the fifteen prizes will be the first fifteen eligible entries randomly drawn.

Prize 1: Five double passes to Great Brisbane Bike Ride will be drawn at 9am on Thursday 12 May 2016.
Prize 2: Five double passes to Pier to Point Women’s Ride will be drawn at 9am on Tuesday 17 May 2016.
Prize 3: One Magellan bike computer will be drawn at 9am on Thursday 26 May 2016.
Prize 4: Four Reid Cycles bicycles will be drawn at 9am on Thursday 2 June 2016.
8. Winner Notification: The weekly winners will be notified by telephone each week commencing on 12 May 2016 and concluding on 2 June 2016 between 9am and 12 noon by a Council Officer.  If the winner is not contactable during this time, the officer will randomly re-draw another prize winner until a contactable winner has been located and the prize is claimed.

9. No Liability of Promoter: The Promoter accepts no responsibility whatsoever for late, misplaced, lost or ineligible entries. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the prizes.  To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury sustained in connection with the entry into the competition or acceptance of the prize.  This paragraph is not intended to exclude any liability which cannot be excluded under Australian consumer protection laws.  Any such liability is limited to the resupply of the prize.

10. Important – Copyright and Privacy Consent: By entering into the competition, the entrant becomes a member of Cycling Brisbane and consents to their personal information entered on their membership application being collected, stored and used by the Promoter or entities acting on its behalf for the purposes of providing the entrant with information about the Promoter’s Cycling Brisbane initiatives.

If the entrant wishes to un-subscribe from the Promoter’s database, the entrant must contact the Promoter’s Customer Contact Centre on (07) 3403 8888 or email cyclingbrisbane@brisbane.qld.gov.au with the words “UNSUBSCRIBE – Cycling Brisbane”. The Promoter’s privacy statement can be viewed online at www.brisbane.qld.gov.au.

11. Force Majeure:  If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned (including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter), which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify all entries from any individual who tampers with, or benefits from tampering with, the entry process which as a result corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the competition.

12. In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.

13. The Promoter reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time and to cancel or amend the competition at any time without notice or further recourse to the entrants.

14. The Promoter of the competition is Brisbane City Council ABN 72 002 765 795 acting through Brisbane Infrastructure, Transport Planning and Strategy, whose principal offices are at Brisbane Square, 266 George Street, Brisbane.
