State of Origin Roulette: If you are the lucky name to be drawn from the barrel of entries, you will play State of Origin Roulette!  Simply back maroon or blue on the specially made Roulette wheel and if it lands on the colour you picked, you win $2000 cash!  It’s that simple.  You must be present at the time of drawing for the chance to play.

1. The State of Origin Roulette promotion will take place at SKYCITY Darwin and will be run in ACES
on the night of each game of State of Origin 2016 – Wednesday 1st June 2016, Wednesday 22nd
June 2016 and Wednesday 13th July 2016.
2. Patrons who purchase a schooner of XXXX Gold or VB in ACES from 4pm until the end of the
State of Origin game will receive one (1) ticket into the draw to play State of Origin Roulette.
3. Patrons who purchase a jug of XXXX Gold or VB in ACES from 4pm until the end of the State of
Origin game will receive four (4) tickets into the draw to play State of Origin Roulette.
4. All purchases involved in the promotion are subject to the Responsible Service of Alcohol and
SKYCITY Darwin’s Host Responsibility Program.
5. To be eligible to win the chance to play State of Origin Roulette, patrons must be present at the
time of the draw, which will take place within twenty minutes (20) minutes after the final siren
of the game.
6. It is the ticket holder’s responsibility to fill in their details on the entry ticket and to place the
ticket(s) into the correct entry barrel.
7. To accurately complete an entry ticket, the minimum details a person must include are: their
full name (first name and last name) and their contact number. If an entry ticket does not have
both their name and contact number on it, the entry will be void.
8. Only one name can be entered on each ticket. If more than one person’s name is recorded on a
ticket, the entry will be void.
9. Entry tickets must be clear and readable. Illegible entries will be considered invalid.
10. Each draw will proceed in the following manner:
i. The State of Origin Roulette entry barrel will be spun, then one (1) entry ticket will be
drawn from the barrel and the ticket holder invited to the draw area.
ii. Their name will be called three (3) times over the public address system within ACES
bar, and they will have three (3) minutes to present themselves to the bar.
iii. The three (3) minute period will begin after their name has been called the third time.
iv. Any person, who is called at the nominated time of any draw, must be present at
SKYCITY Darwin.
v. If a name is drawn and the person fails to present them self to ACES bar within the
specified time, the host conducting the draw will select another name from the barrel.
This process will continue until a winner has been found.
vi. When both the winning ticket and the persons’ identification have been validated, the
ticket holder will be invited to play State of origin Roulette.

11. State of Origin Roulette mechanics:
i. The first eligible entrant drawn will be escorted to the State of Origin Roulette table
located on the main gaming floor.
ii. They will select either the ‘blue’ or ‘maroon’ promotional chip and place it on the
Roulette table.
iii. The dealer will then spin the Roulette Wheel (in the same manner as regular Roulette).
iv. If the Roulette ball lands on the corresponding colour of the contestant’s pick, they will
win $2,000 cash.
v. If the Roulette ball lands on the colour not chosen by the contestant, they do not win
anything.
vi. If the Roulette ball lands on ‘0’ or ‘Green’ the dealer is to spin again.
12. In the event of the contestant choosing incorrectly, the $1,000 bet will be carried over to the
next game as an added cash bonus. For example:
a) If the participant in series one chooses incorrectly and the participant in series two
chooses correctly that person takes home at total of $3,000 made up of $1,000 for the
promotional chip, $1,000 win, $1,000 cash bonus.
b) If the participant in series one and series two both choose incorrectly, the participant in
series three will have the chance to take home a total of $4,000, made up of $1,000 for
the promotional chip, $1,000 win, $2,000 cash bonus.
c) If the participant in series three chooses incorrectly, another participant will be drawn
from the barrel until a correct colour is chosen and the total prize amount is won.
13. All prizes are non-transferable. There is no alternative prize offered.
14. The prize won will be in cash, not chips.
15. The $1,000 promotional chip is only valid for State of Origin Roulette.
16. The roulette wheel being used for this promotion is for mock use and will be marked with
promotional material.
17. The ball being used for this promotion will be retained by the Pit Manager following each
occasion of promotional use. At the cessation of the promotion, the ball will be written out of
stock and destroyed.
18. SKYCITY Darwin reserves the right to alter or cancel any aspect of the State of Origin Roulette
promotion at any time.

19. The following are ineligible to enter the State of Origin Roulette promotion:
a. SKYCITY Staff, of any capacity
b. Spouses and/or defacto spouses of SKYCITY staff
c. Persons under the age of 18 years
d. Any person who at the time of the promotion/draw is excluded under the relevant
provisions of the Northern Territory Gaming Legislation and/or Northern Territory
Liquor Act.
20. In the event of any disputes, the decision of Management is final, subject, upon request, to a
review by the Director General of Licensing, Gambling and Licensing Services, NT Department of
Business.
21. SKYCITY shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but
not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or
sustained, as a result of taking any of the prizes, except for any liability which cannot be
excluded by law.
22. SKYCITY reserves the right to use publicity photos, in any reasonable manner they see fit, unless
that person advises SKYCITY at the time of playing the promotion that they wish to retain their
anonymity. Prize winners also acknowledge that their photo may be used for a promotional
display at SKYCITY or on the SKYCITY website.
