To celebrate the new school year we are looking for kids aged 6-12 years to feature in one of our campaigns. The winner and their school will each receive $1000 to help with back to school costs.

The top ten entrants with the most eligible votes will be shortlisted. Best&Less will then choose the ultimate winner out of those shortlisted based on the creative merit of the photograph and the requirements of the advertising campaign.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Back to School Talent Search Competition 2017

Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

 

HOW TO ENTER:
•Step 1: Take a photo that shows how excited the entrant (aged between 6-12 years old) is to go back to school
•Step 2: Head to www.bestandless.com.au/schoolstar and upload the photo
•Step 3: Share your photo on social media with family and friends so they can vote

The top ten entrants with the most eligible votes will be shortlisted as the finalists in the talent search competition. Best&Less will then choose the ultimate winner out of those shortlisted based on the creative merit of the photograph and the requirements of the advertising campaign.

 

PRIZE:
•Feature in one of Best&Less’ campaigns
•$1000 to set the winner up for going back to school ($500 cash, a $200 Best&Less gift card and $300 Coles Group & Myer gift card)
•$1000 for the winner’s school in a gift card of the school’s choice

To feature in a campaign, the winner is required to attend a one-day photoshoot. This photoshoot will be held Monday - Friday most probably in Sydney. The date of the photoshoot is to be agreed upon by Best&Less and the winner after the competition takes place.

If the winner does not live in the capital city the photoshoot takes place, the prize will include flights from an Australian capital city, one night accommodation and transfers to/from the airport and to/from the photoshoot for the winner and a parent/guardian. The prize excludes any other sundries associated with the prize such as meals.

The winner must sign a contract giving Best&Less usage rights on the images taken during the shoot day. Please see a copy of that contract below the Conditions of Entry.

The Promoter accepts no responsibility of any variation in the prize value from time of launch.

The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.

 

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:

Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry.
1.Entry is only open to Australian residents. As the entrant is under 18 years of age, permission to enter the competition must be sought from their parent or legal guardian. The entrants must be between 6-12 years of age.
2.Employees and their immediate families of (i) the Promoter, (ii) companies or agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, participating retail stores and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin. The Promoter is Best & Less Pty Ltd, 657 – 673 Parramatta Rd, Leichhardt, NSW, 2040.
3.Individual children can be entered only once. Multiple entries are not acceptable. A parent/guardian may enter more than one child.
4.Promotion commences Tuesday 3 January 2017 at 00:01(EST) and concludes Sunday 5 February 2017, 23:59(EST). The entry must be submitted between these dates.
5.The ten entrants with the most eligible votes will be shortlisted and announced on social media on Friday 10 February. The judging will take place Friday 10 February – Friday 17 February at Best&Less 657 – 673 Parramatta Rd, Leichhardt, NSW, 2040. The winner will be contacted in the week commencing 13 February - subject to meeting the requirements in Conditions 1-4. The final winner will be announced on Friday 17 February subject to the terms and conditions.
6.As the winner is under 18 years of age, the prize will be awarded to their parent or legal guardian on their behalf.
7.The Promoter accepts no responsibility of any variation in the prize value from time of printing.
8.The winner will be notified by email and their name will be published on the Best&Less social media pages and website.
9.The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.
10.The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained as a result of, or in connection with the prize except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11.The Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
12.The Promoter shall not be liable for any entries that have been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way.
13.The Promoter is not responsible for lost, late or misdirected, or for entries not properly completed. Incomplete or illegible entries will be deemed invalid. All entries become and remain the property of the Promoter.
15.If the prize is unclaimed 24hrs after winner has been contacted then a re-draw will take place.
16.Eligible Entrants’ personal information ("PI") will be collected to enable the Promoter to administer and promote this competition and its winner. In certain circumstances, the PI of the winner will be provided to authorities that regulate this competition. By entering the promotion, unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organizations that may use it, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant as per the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (www.bestandless.com.au). Eligible Entrants may contact the Promoter at the address given below, or Best & Less at 657-673 Parramatta Road, Leichhardt, NSW 2040, to request access to any of their collected PI that is still held. If an entrant does not truthfully provide all requested PI, the Promoter may determine that they are not eligible to win the prize.
17.The Promoter is Best & Less Pty Ltd, ABN 29 003 724 696, 657-673 Parramatta Rd, Leichhardt, NSW 2040.
18.Each entry will be individually judged based on the number of eligible public votes they receive and the requirements of the campaign. The judging of entries will take place at Best&Less 657 – 673 Parramatta Rd, Leichhardt, NSW, 2040. The Promoter may judge additional reserve entries and record them in order of merit in case an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is judged. The winner of the promotion will be contacted and notified by mobile phone and or email.
19.The winner must sign a contract giving Best&Less usage rights on the images taken during the shoot day. Please see a copy of that contract below.
20.Eligible entries are defined as one vote per person per entry only. Entries may be disqualified at the discretion of Best&Less if entries are determined to have been gained illegally.

 

USAGE CONTRACT

 

At Best & Less Pty Ltd we want to ensure everyone enjoys their experience with us! We aim to ensure transparency with our talent agreement and strive to make this clearly understood. Please review the below.

I ____________________________ accept that a condition of my agreement to Best & Less Pty Ltd is that my talent will be photographed and featured in the Best & Less catalogue.
1.I, on behalf of my talent, understand that in performing the duties for which I have been engaged I may see and have access to confidential, sensitive and/or private information (hereafter “confidential information”). For purposes of this Agreement, “confidential information” means any fact, matter, document, or file in any form (oral, hard copy, or electronic), disclosed to me or known by me as a consequence of my reward.
2.I understand that my talent will be photographed and portrayed in the Best & Less catalogue.
3.I understand that behind the scenes video/photo content may be created and shared online.
4.I understand that these images/video content will appear in things such as but not limited to social media, newsletter and catalogue and that all loadings will be determined on a case by case basis.
5.My talent will respect the rules of the studio and will take caution to avoid any hazards or accidents.
6.I understand that in performing the duties for which I have been engaged, I take full responsibility for all events that take place.
7.Best & Less will not take responsibility for any loss or injuries that occur during the event.
8.I handover all rights to images/video content taken to Best & Less Pty Ltd.
9.I have signed release forms for all talent utilised for Best & Less Pty Ltd.

By signing and dating this agreement in the spaces below, I certify that I have read and understood this agreement in its entirety, and that I agree to be bound by its terms both during my time and after I leave Best & Less Pty Ltd.
