Those two-piece masters of noise creation Japandroids are back at last with a new album, Near To The Wild Heart Of Life. The record arrives as something of a surprise to the band’s devoted fan base, some five years after 2012’s Celebration Rock. In 2014 and 2015, the Canadians reconvened in Vancouver, Toronto, New Orleans and Mexico City to write their next set.
