TERMS AND CONDITIONS - HOME FREE
The following terms and conditions apply for the Grant Broadcasters HOME FREE promotion.
These terms and conditions apply in conjunction with Grant Broadcasters Network General Contest Rules. Where
there is any inconsistency, these terms and conditions will prevail.
Promoter : Hot91.1 Sunshine Coast.
Hot 91 Pty Ltd ACN 101 804 371, registered office Suite 303, Level 3, 10-12 Clarke St, Crows Nest, NSW 2065.
1. DURATION
a) Contestants are able to submit eligible receipts from Maroochydore Homemaker Centre for all purchases
from 9.00am Saturday 29 April until midday Friday 26th May (‘the Registration Period’)
b) The Promoter reserves the right to alter the Registration Period in its absolute discretion
c) Contesting will occur at specific times Monday to Friday to be determined by the Promoter, between on
Tuesday 2nd May and 5pm on Friday 26th May 2017 (each of the days between and including these days are
called ‘Contesting Days’)
d) The exact opening and closing times for the Contesting Period may be changed in the absolute discretion of
6am the Promoter.
e) The Event Day will be Saturday 27th May or such other date as the Promoter determines. All decisions are in
the complete discretion of the Promoter and no correspondence will be entered into in this regard.
2. METHOD OF ENTRY
a) To enter the promotion, entrants must make any purchase at any retailer at Maroochydore Homemaker
Center (11-55 Maroochy Blvd) and complete an entry form with their name, address, daytime telephone
number, email address and attached their receipt and place it in the Centre’s entry barrel.
b) One entry per person per transaction only.
c) Entries that are illegible, incomplete or do not comply with these Terms are invalid. If a breach of eligibility is
discovered after announcement of the winner, the prize will not be awarded.
d) At various times on each Contesting Day the Promoter will broadcast the names and nominated suburb of 2
Entrants the entry barrel. For their chance to earn a spot as a finalist, the nominated Entrant must contact
the Promoter on 1300 468 911 within the nominated timeframe. The first person to call through within the
designated time will be selected as a Finalist.
e) If the neither shortlisted Entrants call the Promoter within the designated time, neither will be listed as a
finalist and the Promoter reserves the right to hold additional contesting to fill the Finalist position.
f) The Promoter reserves the right to verify entries and claims for Prizes and reserves the right to disqualify an
entry where the entry process has been tampered with.
g) Entry is only available to people who are aged 18 or over and eligible to own property in Queensland.
h) No person is eligible to participate in the Competition or to redeem any prize if they have won a prize valued
at $5000 or more in any competition run by the Promoter within 6 months prior to Event Day.
i) Officers, employees and immediate families of officers and employees of the Promoter and their related
bodies corporate and contractors and any other organisation associated with this Promotion are ineligible to
enter. This includes Hot91.1, Grant Broadcasters, Maroochydore Homemaker Centre and Integrale Homes.
3. PRIZE
a) There will be one major prize comprising of a house and land package valued at $570,000. Prize home
address - 17 Aqua Circuit Caloundra West. The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 car storage on a
448 square metre block. An allowance of $15,000 has been included for estimated settlement costs bringing
the total prize value to $585,000.00. The prize value is in Australian dollars and is the recommended retail
value as provided at time of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of
the prize between now and the ultimate redemption date.
b) If won, home handover is estimated as 31 July 2017. Exact handover date to be confirmed upon the
completion of the contest.
c) House inclusions are as follows; Letter box, A installed panel Garage door with motor – Including 2 x remote
controls, Fence mounted clothes line, Pool Filter & Chlorinator, Dishwasher, oven & cooktop, Curtains &
Blinds
d) The following are not included in the prize package: any furniture and accessories on the Land that are not
included in the Inclusions listed in clause 3(c)above, pool fencing & signage at the front of the land, 2 x
external sliding doors on sales office, temporary partition walls & shelving in the garage, carpet in garage,
removal of all wall hangings & hooks – making good to plaster board, walls, ceilings & finishes.
e) The Promoter accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to prize and the entrant accepts the prize in its ‘as
is where is’ condition on the day the prize is transferred into the prize winners name.
f) Any settlement costs exceeding $15,000 will be the responsibility of the winner (for example, if the winner is
assessed as an “investor” for land tax purposes).
f)g) A minor prize of a $20,000 Maroochydore Homemaker Centre voucher may be awarded if the house is not
won. Conditions of voucher usage apply.
g)h)Other minor prizes may be awarded at the discretion of Promoter.
h)i) There will only be one winner.
i)j) The prize is not transferable to a person other than the winner and cannot be redeemed for cash.
j)k) All rates, water, statutory charges and costs and home and contents insurance associated with maintaining
the prize will be the responsibility of the winner from the day of handover of house keys.
k)l) Included house appliances and fixtures are no longer covered by warranty and are the sole responsibility of
the prize winner.
l)m)Prize contents and description may change at any time without notice at the promoters discretion.
4. SELECTION OF WINNERS
a) All finalists must personally attend an event on Saturday 27 May and must be present personally to register
by no later than 11.00am at the Maroochydore Homemaker Centre. The Event Date and or time and or
location may be subject to change at the discretion of the Promoter.
b) The Promoter may require Finalists to abide by reasonable instructions on the day. Should any Finalists not
follow the instructions of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to cease the contesting or remove
any person and any Finalist removed will forfeit any claim to any prize.
c) If a Finalist is not at the major draw point and registered by 11.00am they forfeit their opportunity at the
major prize.
d) During the event all finalists will be placed into a draw and one winner will be selected and their name
announced on site and live on air at Hot91.1. The selected finalist will have 15 minutes to present
themselves to Hot91 staff to play on for the major prize. Every attempt will be made to contact the finalist
via the listed mobile number. If after 15 minutes the selected finalist is not present another name will be
drawn until a finalist is selected to play on for the major prize.
e) The selected finalist is the only person who will have the chance to win the major prize.
f) The Contestant will be directed to a designated area at the Event site where they will have a set time frame
to select a numbered object labeled 1 – 100 inclusive.
g) The Contestant can only choose one numbered object. Only one numbered object will reveal a major prize.
h) The container retrieved will reveal if the Contestant has won the major prize or not. If the major prize is not
revealed it will not be given away.
i) Once the Contestant has retrieved their object, if it does not contain the major prize, the Promoter may
announce at the Event where the Major Prize was located.
j) Any Finalist who demonstrates poor behaviour may be excluded from the competition at the Promoters
discretion. In the event of this another Finalist may be selected.
k) Finalists will be required to sign an indemnity form. Failure to do so will result in their disqualification from
the promotion.
l) The Promoter reserve the right to request entrants provide suitable identification of proof of age and
identify prior to awarding a prize.
m) All decisions are solely at the Promoter’s discretion and no correspondence will be entered into.
5. SPECIAL CONDITIONS
a) The Promoter reserves the right to alter the Contesting Period or to terminate the competition in its entirety
if (a) for any reason the Promotion is not capable of proceeding as planned; (b) if the Promotion is corrupted
or the administrations, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion is affected; or (c) if
the determination of the winners or delivery of prizes is prevented or hindered by any event outside the
Promoter’s control.
b) The promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries not received for any reason during the registration
period.
c) No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries
d) The promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax liabilities that may arise from winning the prize and
encourages independent financial advice to be sought on tax and other implications that may arise as a
result of accepting the prize.
e) Except for any liability not excluded by law, entrants release and indemnify the Promoter from and against
all actions, claims and liabilities, that the entrant now has or in the future may have against the Promoter for
any loss, damage or injury (including any special or consequential loss) suffered as a direct or indirect result
of the entrant’s participation in the promotion.
f) By entering this Promotion, all Entrants acknowledge that:
Their image and voice may be used for the purposes of marketing and publicity by the Promoter or third
party partners.
g) The Event may be photographed or filmed for the purposes of marketing and publicity. Audio from the
Event will also be broadcast on air.
h) The Event may be streamed via the Promoters Facebook Live feature.
i) By entering this Promotion contestants herby agree to have their data stored electronically for future
marketing correspondence or promotions under the Privacy Act 1998. Personal data may be shared with
official partners of the Promotion (Hot91.1, Integrale Homes and Maroochydore Homemaker Centre) for
marketing correspondence. Contestants may access and correct that information at any time and request
that their information be deleted
j) If a breach of these terms and conditions is discovered at any time the entry will be invalid.
6. INDEMNITY
All contestants release from, and indemnify GRANT BROADCASTERS against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising
out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the competition including (but not limited to) loss of income,
personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent
act or omission or otherwise.
7. ALTERATION OF CONTEST SPOTS.
Grant Broadcasters reserves the right to alter or drop contest hours from the competition due to changed
programming conditions in the event of a natural disaster or for any other unforeseeable reason.
