Winner of every major International Best Musical award, Kinky Boots features Tony and Grammy winning songs by pop icon Cyndi Lauper, a book by Broadway royalty Harvey Fierstein and direction and choreography by two-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell.

Based on the movie starring Joel Edgerton and inspired by a true story, Kinky Boots takes audiences on a hilarious journey from a working-class shoe factory to the runways of Milan.
The show opened on Broadway in April 2013 and collected six Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score Written for the Theatre, and a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album. It opened in London’s West End in September 2015, winning three Olivier Awards including Best New Musical.

The feel-good musical made its Australian premiere in Melbourne in October 2016, and has played to packed houses and standing ovations each night since its debut.

Audiences of all ages have fallen head-over-heels for the hit family musical and its incomparable Australian cast, let by principals Callum Francis (Lola) and Toby Francis (Charlie). The Australian cast also includes Sophie Wright (Lauren), Joe Kosky (Don), Teagan Wouters (Nicola) and Nathan Carter (George), along with Blake Appelqvist, James Delisco Beeks, comedy veteran Glenn Butcher, Hilary Cole, Jessica Condon, Denise Devlin, Euan Doidge, Daniel Downing, Bronte Florian, Linden Furnell, Ryan Gonzalez, Samm Hagen, Anthony Harkin, Nicholas Kyriacou, Jenni Little, Liam Peel, Emma Powell, Matthew Predny, Eric Rasmussen, Mark Simpson, Mark Stefanoff and Mitchell Woodcock.

Now playing at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre, the multi-award winning, big-hearted musical will strut into Brisbane’s Lyric Theatre, QPAC from 22 August!
