The Summer, the steaks are high in the new comedy celebrating an Aussie icon, the humble backyard barbecue! The BBQ (PG), starring Shane Jacobon, Manu Feildel, Magda Szubanski and Julia Zamiro is opening in cinemas on February 22.

Dazza (Shane Jacobson) has a passion for barbequing, but when he accidentally gives his neighbours food poisoning, his reputation and dignity are on the line. To make amends he seeks tutelage from the tyrannical Scottish chef known simply as ‘The Butcher’ (Magda Szubanski).   Together they enter an international barbecue competition, pitting Dazza’s homespun techniques against the world’s best BBQ chefs (like Manu Fieldel’s character Andre Montblanc).
