Zero dollars required to slide down the rabbit hole next weekend at ACMI’s huge Alice in Wonderland exhibition – with one condition.
ACMI’s blockbuster exhibition Wonderland is a wide-ranging look at the influence of Lewis Carroll’s iconic Alice in Wonderland on film and television, from The Simpsons to The Matrix.
In honour of the book’s heroine, ACMI is granting free entry to everyone named Alice – and a mate – on August 25 and 26.
The exhibition includes props, costumes, artwork and films, and follows Alice’s journey from the Hallway of Doors and the Pool of Tears to Looking Glass House. One highlight features a Mad Hatter’s tea party, transformed using audiovisual interventions.
If your name is Alys fear not – phonetic variations of Alice will be accepted. Sadly Allisons and Alyssas will need to buy a ticket.
Photo ID is required.
Wonderland runs until October 7, 2018.
