The Ambush is a popular trail lid thanks to having extended coverage and a reinforced mainframe. This means it covers more of your head in a crash, and the EPS foam stays together in the case of multiple head strikes in a bad spill. There's a bunch of venting, helmet lining pads that whisk sweat away, and a super easy to adjust retention system so your helmet stays in place securely.


Specialized have made sure the Ambush plays well with sunglasses or goggles, and the micro adjust visor lets you slide your goggles up for long climbs or when in the shuttle line.

With safety at the front of mind, not only does the Ambush come equipped with a MIPS slip liner, Specialized have also built in their ANGi Crash Sensor, that works with an app on your phone to alert specified contacts on your phone in the instance of a crash. That's a bunch of tech going on in this $320 helmet.
