Register to attend, and you’ll be entered into our competition to win 🎮 an Xbox Series X console. Sign into the event on Sunday, 8 August, and you’ll be added into our second draw of prizes. PRIZES
1. There are three (3) individual prizes to be won (Prizes) as part of the “Virtual Open Day
2021” Participation Competition (Competition):
i. One (1) Xbox Series X console to the value of $749.00
ii. One (1) DJI Mavic Mini drone to the value of $599.00
iii. One (1) Insta360 GO 2 action camera to the value of $479.00
ENTERING THE “VIRTUAL OPEN DAY 2021” PARTICIPATION COMPETITION
2. To enter the Competition, you must:
a. complete and submit the registration form located at
https://openday.ecu.edu.au/en/registration
b. log into the ECU Virtual Open Day platform between 08/08/2021 at 10.00am
(AWST) and 08/08/2021 at 2.00pm (AWST) via https://openday.ecu.edu.au/
3. Entries made before or after this time will be null and void.
4. If you are under the age of 17 years (inclusive), you must obtain parental or guardian
consent to enter the Competition. Parents or guardians may be required to enter into a
further agreement with Edith Cowan University if you win a Prize.
5. The Competition is not open to:
a. any person where that person or anyone from the same family or household has
won a prize or prizes from ECU in the 60 days prior to the commencement of the
Competition; or
b. any person who is discovered to have used or attempted to use any more than one
name in order to qualify to win, except in the case of a legal change of name.

PRIZE DRAW
6. The Prizes will be drawn at ECU Joondalup Campus, 270 Joondalup Drive, Joondalup WA
on Monday, 9 August 2021.
7. An ECU representative will select the winners via a random draw. ECU’s decision is final
and cannot be contested.
8. The winners will be notified by telephone or email within 48 hours from draw date.
9. The winners will need to collect their Prize from the ECU Joondalup Campus, 270
Joondalup Drive, Joondalup WA, no later than 12pm AWST, 27 August 2021. ECU may
require a winner to provide identification documents to verify their identity.
10. If a winner:
a. cannot be notified that they have won a Prize by 12pm AWST, 13 August 2021; or
b. does not collect their Prize by 12pm AWST, 27 August 2021
the Prize will remain the property of Edith Cowan University.
11. The Prizes are non-transferable, not extendable, cannot be redeemed for cash and are not
valid in conjunction with any other offer.
12. Any unclaimed Prizes remain the property of ECU.

13. ECU accepts no responsibility for a lost, misplaced, or misdirected Prize.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
14. Entry and other instructions contained within promotional material form part of these terms
and conditions.
15. By participating in the Competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
16. ECU is entitled at its sole discretion to reject or disqualify any entry which it determines to
be incomplete or ineligible or which in the sole opinion of ECU contains unlawful,
defamatory, offensive or other material which if published or broadcast would place the
business interests of ECU at risk or adversely affect the goodwill, name or reputation of
ECU.
17. ECU reserves the right to refuse Prize redemption to any participant that does not comply
with these terms and conditions.
18. By entering the competition, you agree, to have your name, and any photographs of you
taken by ECU or its agents published on ECU’s website or social media channels for
promotional, marketing, publicity, research, or profiling purposes. You grant to ECU a
perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty free licence to reproduce, communicate, adapt,
modify and publish your name or any photographs of you taken by ECU or its agents, for
the purposes of marketing, promotion and publicity.
19. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ECU absolves itself of any and all liability, financial or
resultant arising out of, or in connection with the Competition.
20. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release from, and indemnify ECU against, all
liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any Prize or participation in the
Competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury and damage to
property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or
omission or otherwise.
