Win free tickets to join the Johnnie Walker Mardi Gras ‘First Timers’ debutante ball.

The iconic brand is launching a new event full of pomp and ceremony this Mardi Gras season.

Johnnie Walker is celebrating the strength and diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community with those brave enough to be taking their first steps this Mardi Gras by hosting a ‘First Timers’ debutante ball.

A first of its kind — the ball will give first timers (those who have never attended Mardi Gras) a fabulous debut alongside thousands from their own community, as well as the trailblazers who have walked before them.

The event will take place at Darlinghurst venue, Kinselas — which will be transformed into a grand space full of pomp and ceremony — and an inclusive space for all queer identities.

Ahead of the dazzling festivities, Johnnie Walker has partnered with Aussie singer and Mardi Gras first timer, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, to inspire other first timers across the country to attend the ball, all expenses paid

Members of the LGBTQIA+ community — who have, up until now, been unable to attend the festival — will get the chance to win a free ticket to participate in the ball.

Entrants need to share their personal story about why they would like to attend their first Mardi Gras this year and what has stopped them from attending previously.

In 25 words or less what has stopped you from attending Mardi Gras previously, and why you would like to attend in 2024.

Entry is only open to Australian residents of the LGBTQIA+ community aged 25 years and over who are prepared to attend the Johnnie Walker Debutant Ball on 22/02/2024 (22 February 2024).
