Wild Antarctica Competition presented by T Australia and Aurora Expeditions. By participating in this competition, the entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1.The competition starts 09.04.24 and ends 05.05.2024.

2.To enter, participants must be an Australian resident, 18 years of age or older and provide their email address, which will be added to T Australia’s eNewsletter database and Aurora Expeditions’ database. Participants may also be required to provide their phone number so that they can be contacted if they are the winner.

3.Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families, suppliers, associated companies and agencies are ineligible to enter.

4.Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Promotional Period.

5.There is only one (1) winner for this promotion.

6.One (1) entry per person is achieved by providing an email address to enter the competition.

7.An entrant may achieve additional entries (maximum 4) by: i) following T Australia on Instagram @tmagazineau, following T Australia on Facebook @tmagazineau or referring a friend via the link the competition entry mechanism.

8.Multiple entries from the same IP address, same email address or from automated competition entry services are invalid.

9.Entry into the Promotion is free.

10.The prize is a 12-DAY WILD ANTARCTICA EXPEDITION FEATURING THE WEDDELL SEA from Aurora Expeditions valued at more than AU$44,000 departing 6 March – 17 March 2025 and includes accommodation in an Aurora Stateroom Twin Share departing and returning from Ushuaia, Argentina. The prize does not include airfares or taxes. The prize includes:
a. All transfers mentioned in itinerary;
b. All pre/post accommodation mentioned in itinerary;
c. Onboard accommodation during voyage including daily cabin service;
d. All meals, snacks, tea and coffee during voyage;
e. Beer, house wine and soft drinks with dinner during voyage;
f. Captain’s Farewell reception including four-course dinner, house cocktails, house beer and wine,
non-alcoholic beverages;
g. All shore excursions and Zodiac cruises;
h. Educational lectures and guiding services provided by Expedition Team;

11.Prize value: up to US$14,695 per person or US$29,390 total for two people (converted to AU$44,467 as at 5 April, 2024). Prize value based on full brochure fare available on Wild Antarctic featuring the Weddell Sea (departing 06 March, 2025) for two (2) passengers in twin share accommodation in an Aurora Stateroom Twin share cabin.

12.Prize must be booked at least 60 days before chosen departure date.
a. Reservations and sailing are subject to voyage certificate terms and conditions. Prize excludes additional sightseeing and other personal expenditures. All other expenses not specified herein with respect to the Prize are the sole responsibility of the recipient.
b. Prize is not transferable and may not be given, bartered, sold or exchanged for cash or another prize, except at Promoter’s sole discretion due to unavailability for any reason and then only for a prize of equal or greater value. Actual value of Prize under this Promotion may be lower or higher at the time of its fulfillment, and any difference between actual value and the stated value will not be awarded. Prize Supplier is not responsible if any element of the Prize is delayed, postponed or cancelled for any reason. Prize Supplier reserves the right, for whatever reason, to substitute the Prize for one of equal or greater value.
c. Each Winner and their companion must travel on the same itinerary and have all required valid passports and visas at the time of departure from Australia including up to and including the time of return to Australia. There are no deviations to travel allowed except as approved by the cruise line in its sole discretion.

Winner and their companion must abide by all cruise line policies and terms and conditions, including the requirements outlined at www.auroraexpeditions.com.au/terms-and-conditions/.
In the event of any inconsistency between these Special Conditions and the Terms and Conditions of the Promotion, the Special Conditions will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.

13.The winner will be randomly selected on Tuesday 7 May 2024 at 10:30am AEST at 388 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000 and published on T Australia’s website www.taustralia.com.au by Thursday 9 May 2024. The winner will also be announced via T Australia’s eNewsletter and Instagram channel.
14.The winner will be contacted by email.
15.The winner will have 7 days to respond to the Promoter and confirm they wish to claim their prize. If the Promoter has not been able to reach the winner and confirm they will claim the prize, a redraw will take place to select another winner on Tuesday 14th May 2024 at 10:30am AEST at the same address.
16.All competition entrants will be added to the T Australia database and Aurora Expeditions database for marketing and other communications.

18. General Prize terms:
a.All Prize values are correct and based on the recommended retail value at the Start Date of the Promotion.
b.If a Prize or any part of a Prize is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter will, in its absolute discretion, substitute the Prize with
c.another item of no lesser retail value.
d.Unless expressly stated as being included in the Prize, all other costs and expenses associated with taking the Prize/s become the responsibility of Winner and their companion, including but not limited to:
e.flights not mentioned in itinerary;
f.taxes – including flight-associated taxes, airport arrival or departure taxes;
g.transfers – unless specified in itinerary;
h.passport, visa, reciprocity and vaccination fees and charges;
i.travel insurance;
j.gratuities for ship’s crew and local guides;
k.hotel accommodation and meals unless specified in the itinerary;
l.transport to/from an airport departure or return point;
m.optional excursions and optional activity surcharges;
n.all items of a personal nature including but not limited to alcoholic beverages and soft drinks (outside of dinner service), laundry
o.services, personal clothing, medical expenses, wi-fi, email or phone charges;
p. all other incidental and ancillary costs incurred by the Winner and their guest as a direct or indirect result of taking the Prize.
q.Prizes cannot be refunded, exchanged, taken as a monetary payment or offered for resale. Prizes may be transferred at the Promoter’s sole discretion. Fees may be incurred for any changes to booking.
r.All aspects of a Prize must be taken together as a package. If for any reason a Winner does not (or is unable to) take their Prize or an element of their Prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, they forfeit their Prize or that element of their Prize and no compensation or substitute will be offered.
s.The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to allow an Entrant/Winner and/or their guest to take part or continue to take part in any aspects of the Promotion or Prize, for any inappropriate behaviour, if the relevant person does not or is not able to comply with any requirements normally associated with the particular activity or if the Promoter determines, based on the advice of an appropriate and relevant medical professional, that the relevant person is not sufficiently healthy or fit so as to safely participate in the Promotion or Prize.
t.Prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts or special offers.
u.The Prize will be awarded to the person named in the winning entry as judged in accordance with the Winner Determination.
v.The Prize will be awarded at the Promoter’s sole discretion. The Promoter may invalidate any prize claim where the Winner has breached these Terms and Conditions or otherwise failed to comply with any requirement under these Terms and Conditions.
w.It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the Winner and their guest must sign a legal release or releases in a form determined by the Promoter in their absolute discretion.

19.Holiday Prize terms:
a. The Winner and their guest must ensure that they have valid documentation for necessary international or domestic travel, including but not limited to valid passports and visas, which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities at every destination. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements
b. of those authorities will be the sole responsibility of the Winner and their companion. If the Winner or their guest are refused entry to any
c. destination for any reason, they forfeit the Prize and no compensation or substitute will be offered.
d. The Winner and their companion are responsible for any amendment fees issued by airlines or suppliers once booking is confirmed and
e. ticketed.
f. Air ticket will be based on best available connection to the voyage (not guaranteed to be booked under preferred airlines, holding
g. Frequent Flyer status, or using Frequent Flyer points for any of the flights included in the Prize).
h. Air credit must be used towards the return flights for the Prize.
i. The Winner and their guest must travel at the same time, including flights and accommodation. They must depart from and return to
j. the same airport and are responsible for transport to and from their residence to the airport.
k. A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the Winner and/or their guest at check-in to a hotel and during the voyage, for all incidental charges.

20.The Promoter may, at its absolute discretion, declare any or all entries made by an Entrant to be invalid if the Entrant:
a. fails to establish their entitlement to win the Promotion to the Promoter’s
satisfaction; or
b. fails to produce items as required by these Terms and Conditions or
produces items that appear to be illegible, stolen, forged,
reconstructed, altered, incomplete or tampered with in any way; or
c. appears, to the Promoter, to have tampered with, or benefited from
tampering with, the entry process; or
d. has submitted an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and
Conditions; or
e. has, in the opinion of the Promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the
Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or
generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion or
Promoter.

21.This contest is only open to residents of Australia aged 18 years and over.
22.The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
23.Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect,
special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
24.Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of:

any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control);
b. any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
c. any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;
d. any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions;
e. any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or
f. use of the prize

25.Publicity
By accepting the Prize, the Winner and their guest agrees that
a. if requested by the Promoter, the Winner and their guest will provide
comments about the Promotion and/or a photo or audiovisual clip of themselves; and participate in any promotional activity in connection with the Promotion or the Prize;
b. the Promoter may use their name, image, comments, photographs or
audio-visual clips (Materials) for publicity and promotional
purposes in any form of media, without reference or compensation;
c. the Promoter may use, reproduce, edit and communicate to the public the
Materials at any time in any form of media;
d. the Promoter may license, authorise or otherwise transfer the rights in the
Materials to others to do the same; and the Winner and their guest unconditionally and irrevocably consent to any act or omission that would otherwise infringe any of their moral rights in the Materials and waive all moral rights in the Materials.

26.Social Media
a. Entrants acknowledge that the Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or associated with any social media platform where the Promotion is conducted on.
b. They release all social media platforms and its associated companies from all liabilities arising in respect of the Promotion.
c. They agree to adhere to the prevailing terms and conditions of each social media platform.
d. They understand that they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to the social media platform.
e. They acknowledge that they are solely responsible and liable for any content or information they transmit to other users of the platform and agree to direct any questions, comments or complaints about the Promotion to the Promoter.

27.Privacy:
a. The Promoter collects personal information (“PI”) to conduct the competition and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Redemption of the offer is
conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its privacy policy, which can be accessed by visiting Taustralia.com.au/privacy
b. In addition to any use that may be outlined in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, the Promoter may also, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the bearer/subscriber. Bearer/subscribers should direct any request to opt out, access, update or
correct PI to the Promoter and direct any complaints regarding treatment of their PI according to the Privacy Policy. All redemptions of the offer become the property of the Promoter.
