Win award and hamper from James Squire, as well as a year’s subscription to The West Australian.

Think you know a thing or two about how to match food and beer? Well, West Weekend and James Squire would like to hear from you.

Drop into The Generous Squire in Shafto Lane, Perth for a glass or two of James Squire Golden Ale or pick up some from your local bottle-shop to try at home, and visit
www.james-squire.com.au to read the tasting notes — because you need to get to know this beer in order to design a recipe that complements it.

The top five recipe creators will then be invited, along with a guest, to a final judging event - to be held at the Generous Squire on Monday, September 6 from 5.00pm-7.00pm.

The Generous Squire chef Keith Lankester will re-create the finalists’ dishes, which will then be judged for flavour and innovation by James Squire master brewer Dr Chuck Hahn, West Weekend Editor Julie Hosking and restaurant critic Rob Broadfield.

The winner will receive an official award and hamper from James Squire, as well as a year’s subscription to The West Australian. The winning recipe will also be published in West Weekend magazine. Please note: this is strictly an amateur competition.

Enter your recipe and photo below for your chance to WIN.
