Kevin Whateley is Detective Inspector Lewis (having been sergeant to John Thaw's Inspector Morse in the original series) and his aide de camp is the university educated Detective Sergeant Hathaway (played by Laurence Fox), together the pair are called upon to solve esoteric murders within the environs of the beautiful city of Oxford.
A high quality series with the same kind of attitude and clever plotting that was the hallmark of Morse. The six disc set features every feature length episode from the first three seasons and also includes the pilot which was broadcast a year before the series itself began.
