This overview forms part of the general Terms and Conditions for the “Despicable Me – Preview Screening” (competition). The promoter is the ARN Broadcasting Pty Ltd (Mix101.1). “Despicable Me – Preview Screening” will air on Mix101.1 Melbourne. Entry is online via
www.mix1011.com.au.
Promoting a preview screening of Despicable Me at 11am, Sunday 5th September at Hoyts Cinemas – Melbourne Central. Mix101.1 listeners will be invited to participate in the competition from 6am Monday 23rd August 2010 – 11.59pm Thursday 2nd September 2010. Listeners will be invited to log onto
www.mix1011.com.auto register their details along with the answer in 25 words or less to the question – Why is your Dad far from Despicable - for their chance to win tickets.
From the entries received, the most creative valid entries will be selected and awarded a family pass (for a maximum of 4 people – 2 adults & 2 childres/1 adult & 3 children) to attend the previously nominated preview screening.
Terms and Conditions

The Promoter is ARN Broadcasting Pty Ltd (Mix101.1) ABN 61 003 181 244, Level 2, 21-31 Goodwood Street, Richmond, 3121.

The Radio Station is MIX101.1 FM.

Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of these terms and conditions. Any general competition rules or terms and conditions of the Radio Station do not apply to this Promotion.

Any entry which does not comply with these terms and conditions is invalid.

Entry is open to residents of Victoria. Employees of the Promoter or its associated companies, employees of any agencies, affiliates, sponsors, sub-sponsors or representatives of the Promoter and the immediate families of any such employees are not eligible to enter. Any person who has won a prize valued at $1,000 or more from the Promoter, or the Radio Station, in any promotion within the past six months, is ineligible to enter.

The Promotion commences at 6am Monday 23rd August 2010 – 11.59pm Thursday 2nd September 2010. (“Promotional Period”).

To enter this Promotion, participants will need to enter via online at

Participants are not limited in the attempts at entry, however any form of automated entry using any other devices or software (not previously specified) is invalid. 9.
Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Promoter. The Promoter is not responsible for failure to receive any entry for any cause beyond its control.

The prize allocation and winner notification will occur between 9am Tuesday 31st August to 9am Friday 3rd September 2010, at Mix101.1, Level 2, 21-31 Goodwood Street, Richmond.

Each entrant acknowledges and agrees that:

he or she may be required by the Promoter, in its absolute discretion, to:

participate in promotional activities for the benefit of the Promoter (including participating in a sound recording, photograph, video or film session); and
that he or she will not, without the prior written consent of the Promoter (which may be given or withheld in its absolute discretion) participate in any other media activities, promotions or events for the purpose of or which involve discussion, commenting on, expressing a view or giving an account of the Promotion, the Promoter, its related bodies corporate or the operations of the Promoter and its related bodies corporate; and

Each entrant acknowledges and agrees that the Promoter has the right to use any materials generated in connection with the Promotion in any medium and in any manner it sees fit.

The total prize pool is valued at $4,875 (GST inclusive).

Prizes: 75 x Family of 4 passes to the Preview Screening of Despicable Me on Sunday 3rd September 2010 at 11am at Hoyts Cinemas Melbourne Central - valued at approximately $55.00 each (Total: $4,125)
17.
Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for another session or cinema. Prize values are correct at the time of printing but no responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of any prizes.
18.
The Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage, including indirect or consequential loss or damage, or personal injury suffered during the course of accepting or using the prize, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
19.
A winner may be required to sign a waiver of liability and indemnity in favour of the Promoter in respect of a prize, in the form determined by the Promoter.
20.
All entries become the property of the Promoter. All details will be held in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy which can be viewed at the website of the Radio Station at

If a winner is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent or guardian on their behalf.

All decisions made by the Promoter are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

All winners tickets will be posted (standard mail) via Australia Post prior to the screening. Mix101.1 takes no responsibility for failure within the Postage System resulting in tickets arriving after the screening date. Mix101.1 is under no obligation to provide a make good if this occurs.
24.
Subject to the approval required by any relevant gaming or lotteries authority, if any prize item is unavailable despite the Promoter’s reasonable endeavours to procure it in Australia, the Promoter may substitute a different prize item of equal or greater value.
25.
If the Promotion/Screening is not able to be run as planned, whether caused by computer virus, line drop-out or congestion, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which affects the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the Promotion, the Promoter may cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion. The Promoter may disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
